The referee this time around for the feisty fixture will be Jonathan Moss from West Yorkshire. Moss usually referees in the Premier League and, last season, he gave 112 yellow cards in the 32 games (all competitions) he took charge of.

Last season he sent off 11 players in 32 games.

Head-to-head
• These clubs, who first clashed in the FA Cup in 1931 and in the league in 1978, are all-square after 26 competitive meetings, each winning 11.
• A 10th-minute goal from Andy King, coupled with Kasper Schmeichel's penalty save from Ashley Barnes, ensured Leicester beat Brighton 1-0 at the King Power Stadium in October, when the Foxes were top of the table.
• The last three Championship meetings have resulted in 1-0 victories for the club playing at home, and Brighton have failed to score in three of their last four league games against the Foxes.
Brighton
• Championship draw specialists Brighton are holding on to a play-off place after successive stalemates, and two defeats in 11 outings, five of which were won.
• This is the Seagulls' 1,900th home fixture in league football. They are yet to lose a league game at the Amex in this calendar year, bagging 17 points from a possible 21, since defeat to Watford on 29 December.
• No club has done the league double over Gus Poyet's team this season; Leicester and Middlesbrough are the only remaining outfits who could still manage it.
Leicester
• This is a six-pointer for seventh-placed Leicester, who lie one spot lower than Brighton and just two points outside the play-off places, as they embark on the first of their three remaining away fixtures against higher-placed clubs.
• Nigel Pearson's side were holding an automatic promotion spot just over six weeks ago, but a seven-match winless run in which just two points were gained, has seen Leicester drop to their lowest position since mid-September.
• Despite boasting the meanest defence in the Championship, the Foxes have not kept a clean sheet in seven, and are in danger of suffering four straight league defeats for the first time in three years.

come on the seagulls, i wanted to bring my girlfriend along today, as the only football matches she has EVER been to in her life were, the 4-1 against Huddersfield (Ulloa hat trick) and the 3-0 against palace.... clearly she is good luck.... but my mate wouldn't give up his ticket!
