I always thought "Sold Out" meant that every ticket was sold before the game including match day. The fact that 2/3k decided not to actually attend means nothing. The club still got their maximum gate money.
i would of gone today if i could of got a ticket.

This , Arsenal give out the attendance as the number of tickets sold regardless of those who don't turn up for whatever reason
I'm sure you would have mate, but my point is what is going on with the missing 2000. We sell out every home game, but are we ever going to have a 'physically' full attendance?

I went to Arsenal v Orient last season and they gave out the attendance as 59/60k but it was quarter empty.
