Brighton - In your face
Surely if football is as simple as 'never change a winning team', all you'd need to do is win the first game of the season and you've then won ALL THE MATCHES.
Move aside Oscar, this is easy.

As long as we score three, Obika is very welcome to score two! :p

Hi folks, yes a Charlton fan here.
We are the least prolific scorers in the history of the universe this season almost! It is very unlikely that we will score at all today, let alone one!
We are also unsettled as to our line up and fitness and such like, and there is a real struggle to find any reasonable balance with the players at our disposal. Our new manager is also of a mind that the run of two games a week is unsustainable if the players are asked to charge around all over the place each match.
Expect an attempt by us to keep the ball for long periods in order to preserve energy, as we only play on Tuesdays this season!
Next Tuesday we are at home to Barnsley and I am sure that is the centre of our focus. If we get anything out of today most Charlton fans will be delighted and surprised. The only thing we have going for us is the relaxed approach of players with low expectations for today, and as a result we might spring a relaxed and surprising draw.
If Brighton sit back a bit, and pass it around it will suit where we're at at the moment, I don't think we will be able to resist you if you come at us all guns blazing, if that happens it will be damage limitation, with the hope for a promising ten minute spell in the game somewhere. Plus a hope that our goal difference won't be too damaged.
I won't be there today, but was at the Amex for the 0-0 last season, where our keeper had a brilliant game, and Dale Stephens nearly grabbed a goal late on. Dale is not Bridcutt obviously, and he can hit a shot and pick a pass. You may see Gus Poyets son play today (he was nineteen last Tuesday), and Diego is a player we would love to keep, but it doesn't look like we will be able too.
PS great stadium, great comfy seats, great vegetarian home made pie as well (well not that wonderful but at least it exists at the Amex unlike the vile rubbish elsewhere).
Obviously I hope we get something today, but anyway I have a bit of affection for Brighton what with the fans united thing, the ground moving (tell us about it!), Stevie Gritt and Hereford and all, the only thing is, we hate Crystal Paralysis more than you!
Perhaps we could have a decent conversation about how many degrees of chite Selhurst Park is, I could go on for hours on that one.

Fair to suggest you're not overly confident then? :D

To be honest mate, I dont think Palace are worthy of us as a rival. I can't take seriously clubs whose fans choose to take drums to football and whose crowds double when they play top flight football. So really they are not important enough to have any strong feelings about either way. Just a small time suburban outfit on the edge of London similar to Watford and who could be bothered to hate clubs like Watford and Palace?

Yeah Crystal Palace and Watford are similar in as much as both exist somewhere between the middle of nowhere and the back end of beyond.

We made Barnsley look like world beaters at home earlier this season so I wouldn't completely write off your hopes for something.
