Played really well up until we scored and then fell apart. Disappointing performance especially as there were a fair few looking to break into the first team in the side.

Stream worked fine for me

Saw the Liverpool game and this. In both games some very poor passing and basic defending errors.

Not a chance of any u23s following Connolly and Alzate into the first team this season on recent performances

West Ham and Holland especially, very impressive.

I haven't seen tonight's game and only caught bits of the Liverpool game.

1 The defence doesn't look the same without the injured Haydn Roberts.
2 Longman and Spong have also been missing and look two of the better prospects.
3 Alex Cochrane has also been away on England U20 duty, again impacting the defence.

Quite a lot missing there.

hmmmm, Balogun was in central defence and to me looked our best player. Longman came on and Spong is still very young for this level.

Not having a pop at the young lads, it's just that our form has noticeably dropped in the last couple of games, the basics not there at the moment. Credit to our opponents as well. Both look to have decent u23 sides

Why? Who else is injured now?

I presume you're saying Dunk's return means we'll drop a striker instead as it's Anfield, but you just can't assume that with GP :)

Balogun will drop out for Dunk I would think, so Ali stays in unless Connolly is fit presumably. If Bernardo is also deemed fit enough I can see March being left out.

West Ham have a decent group of youngsters this season, Scully looks a absolute handful for any defender and will be knocking on the door of making their first team squad soon enough, I can't figure out AJ at all, on minute he looks class then his next pass is woeful, he's nowhere near the first team, nice workout for Bernardo and a injury free Longman should see the U23s improve their patchy form again.

Result was disappointing as we could of easily been 3 up before the Hammers scored in the first half, on a positive note at least the club seem to be showing the games a lot more than last season so it's not all doom and gloom.

No wonder we lost!

I thought West Ham under 23 incl Holland looked good last season as well. We beat them but they looked the better side.
