Newcastle brought 2700 fans but very few coaches as most live in London or south of England (no disrespect). The P&R's, Bennetts & Bridge were heaving with car loads of Newcastle fans.

And the whiners wonder why fans leave early.

The transport infrastructure is CRAP!!

Exactly. I don't leave early but VERY promptly if using trains as I also have to change in Brighton to get back to Worthing. There was never any worry about this issue at the Goldstone or even Withdean, which of course involved that long hike back to Preston Park station. I feel much more relaxed about Saturday afternoon games as time isn't really a problem for me then, but I'm not keen on evening games which might involve extra time and/or penalties!

I don't think it necessarily is. But, rightly or wrongly, that's the common perception of the transport infrastructure.

Nobody wants to be stuck in the middle of nowhere in a sea of people at ten o'clock on a tuesday night.
Agreed I love the way everyone says 'I' instead of:-

'30,000 of us were leaving at the same time, and it took a while'.

That said though, there does seem to be quite a few little things, which you'd think would improve transportation, that go unchecked.

Whether it be controlling the traffic lights at either end of the complex.
Exiting the Bridge and too a lesser extent Uni CP's.
Mill Road's evening congestion.
The Falmer slip road.
All things Southern Rail. (Granted not the littlest of things)

I'm sure there's plenty more if the club were genuinely interested.
