said it a while back but his is my signing of the season, he seems to be getting better and better. If he does give the ball away he works his arse off to get it back and is not afraid to starting passing it around again straight away.

Liam Bridcutt is an outstanding young man. He was immense last night and he is always a yard ahead of the game.

Unfortunately, Navarro is not in the same league and will struggle to get in ahead of Bridcutt. Ever.

He's a lovely player. Controlled, intelligent, rarely gives the ball away and always seems to be in the right place to intercept and break things up.

I really noticed tonight how Greer and El Abd use him. They can leave the middle and move into much wider positions in our half when they're on the ball, finding the space on the flanks, and supporting Painter and Calderon as they push up in front of them. They can do this because Bridcutt just drops back centrally, always ready to receive, and providing that security when we (occasionally) lose the ball. Its fabulous to watch, it pulls the opposition forwards and midfielders all over the shop and creates so much space for us to exploit.

Yeah yeah whatever, more important is that he wears white boots...FLAIR
