Very sad. Always thought he was decent on Sunday Supplement. Met him at an England press conference at Wembley when the Euro 2012 squad was announced and was very pleasant to have a chat with

Very sad , i once sat next to him watching a arsenal v chelsea game in a bar in the desert outside las vegas , he was very tolerant even though i was slaughtered and probably being a complete string. RIP.

Thats very sad. Although I always liked Jimmy Hill doing Sunday Supplement, it was always Woolnough pulling the strings. Always thought he was very good at what he did.

Blimey, that's the second "regular" from sunday supplement in a couple of months. One of the other regular journos, I know his name well but can't remember it offhand, but a relatively young bloke, died very recently.

Martin Samuel?

I remember him being the narrator of The Fishing Race, a great programme. He had a lovely turn of phrase and a great dry humour....R.I.P.
Bugger, that was Ian Wooldridge ..

Didn't both Woolnough and Fullbrook work for The Star too? That office must be devastated.

He used to appear on Radio 5 and always had something interesting to say.

Very sad news, I enjoy Sunday Supplement and Wooly was a great host. Neil Ashton is competent but not in the same class.
