Anybody recall Brian Wade. he played in 90/91 i think and scored 4 against newcastle in a 4-2 win, having scored in his debut at wolves. was he a loan signing, or trialist? and where did he end up. had forgotten all about him til a mate mentioned him tonight

9 goals in 22 games, also 3 hat tricks for the reserves in the 91/92 season, but then retired through injury

Now lives in Bath? Wonder if he ever bumps into Bellotti. Hope if he does he has the same scoring boots as that night against Newcastle.

Great night. I was in the North Stand and can clearly remember two of the goals. One was a flick header from a long throw and his fourth was someone , possibly Codner, squaring it to him on a break away leaving a blank goal to just tuck home his fourth, The North Stand went mad. Fantastic.

That Newcastle game was the same day as the (1st) Gulf War started. I remember coming back from the game and seeing the reports from Baghdad - it was a bit of a weird feeling.

Barry Lloyd signed him off the dole as I recall, and he had to be helped from the pitch in tears at the end of the Newcastle game.

Bless.

What a great memory of that game. I remember 16 year old 'starlet@ (he was initially a winger) Steve watson playing for Newcastle.

Two of the four goals were absolute crackers.

think we were 2-1 down in that game as well. remember the mini pitch invasions that followed Wade's goals....superb.
