Absolutely and he kept going almost to the end. RIP

Real shame. Sounds of the Sixties was a fantastic radio programme, really brought back memories of my youth!

Definitely not the same when Tim Rice took over for a few weeks and I gave up after about 20 minutes of Tony Blackburn.

Brian didn't sound at all well in his final comeback programme.

RIP Brian, we'll miss you

The Sound of the 60's is at the very least 48 years ago now so perhaps no great surprise that their generation is starting to check out?

Sad to see him go but 88 isn't a bad innings.

Sad news. Very knowledgeable, always enjoyed the songs and tip bits that went with them. I am you he will still be 'toe tapping' along.

Well too right, maybe he did well to get this far

Poor bloke, sat in bed reading NSC only to discover he's dead. Probably died of a heart attack a few minutes later!
Seriously though, very knowledgeable person who told some cracking stories on a Saturday morning, plus played some gems from the 60's.
