Let's hope that John Morling has been able to sell him the club as I gather he has worked with him in the past. Don't be surprised to see us pick up a few young Irish lads much like Reading have previously done.

We have 3 Irish scholars already.

We've got £15m saved up.

Irrelevant if the player wants to have an instant crack at the Premier League. It's no negative reflection on us. It's just the way it is.

If it is Hull that have bid, Cork should take note of what Dundee had to do to get their first payment on a transfer fee from the Tigers...

"£1 million-plus first instalment of the £2.85 million fee for the Scotland left-back has not been paid on time by the Barclays Premier League club"...

http://www.thecourier.co.uk/sport/football/dundee-united/what-the-hull-s-going-on-dundee-united-left-to-wait-for-andrew-robertson-payment-1.536511

When Aston Villa did a similar thing to us over the Gareth Barry money, I believe we complained to the Premier League and they deducted the amount that was due from their next TV money instalment.

Wasnt there a report Hull want him for their Development Squad ?

If so, would he really sign for their reserve team, or take up the chance of being in a first team squad at a Championship club which has a growing reputation for fielding young talent ?

We certainly arent out of this yet, including with Hull's inability to pay transfer fees.

Brian Lenihan will travel to Brighton this weekend to discuss a potential move there. #bhafc #ccfc84 pic.twitter.com/3afzFUApFP

They also tweeted that Burnley are interested in him. If they hijack this move as well - they may move into 2nd place of "Clubs I really f**king hate", behind Palace of course.

There will also be the manager charm factor to consider.

Steve Bruce vs Sean Dyche vs Sami Hyypiä

:D

It has to be said that if our transfer dealings are being gazumped by top flight teams then we hardly lack 'ambition'.

Agree, and it re-affirms we are targeting the right playes.

Like I said earlier in this thread, they were trying to start a bidding war. Looks like they have succeeded.
,
Doesn't matter to Cork City, if they have accepted both bids then it is down to the personal terms.

Here
If the Burnley interest is true it's like their scouting system now just consists of waiting to see in the media who we're bidding for and then gazumping us! Nice and cheap and simple. C**ts.
