Anyone else had the misfortune of buying this game? I got so frustrated with it, I trashed my controller in the end. My 1st game as England versus India and I was 3 for 5 after 2 overs! Not so bad I thought, just needs a bit of practice, until it was my turn to bowl, final score for India... 9 for 10 after 14 overs, one extreme to the other! Not exactly what you'd call a realistic scoreline is it??!! The easy level is ridiculously easy to bowl the opponent out almost with every ball, so you crank it up a level or two and it becomes impossible to build up any kind of decent batting score!! Such a pity because this game has the potential to be great with the slick graphics and tv style presentation. I was looking forward to this game for months, I'm taking it back tomorrow and getting EA Sports Cricket 2005!! Anyone got that one? Is it worth a look?

well I wonder if he realised what a load of shit his name's been associated with? By the way, I've just finished bowling against Namibia in the world cup (with my spare controller..lol) score: 21 runs all out after 12 overs!! There's just no competition!!

I got the demo on the PC and may pick up the full version today, the Demo its 1000000000x better than that EA pile of crap and reading both games forums it seems thats the general asumption! BRIC2005 is great once you get going, well the demo is anyway! Hawk-Eye ROCKS!

Did not like EA Cricket 2004 - found it really difficult to bowl even on the easy level !

I can now get around 70 with the bat ion the 6over demo as England against the Windies & Aussies. I usually do alright with the fast bowlers and get the odd maiden but the slower & spin bowlers cost me and I usually go for 50-60!
County level in the demo too so International must be pretty hard!

Its probly just pritty with naff game play :glare:

I think that's the general feelig, too many bugs.

However, the opportunity to play as the Sharks is appealing....

(incidently, why the HELL are Sussex called the sharks? when was the last time you saw a shark off Hove seafront?)

Basking Sharks are reported by fishing boats in most years off the Sussex coast. In 1976 a young specimen of 5 metres was towed into Shoreham Harbour by a party of anglers, and hung by the tip of its tail from the footbridge in the middle of town, for the local paper to take photographs. The shark was found with an injury to its head and it had just died. That night it was spirited away and in the morning was discovered in the ornamental pond in the Southwick shopping precinct

hahaha thats BRILLIANT :D

It sounds pretty unrealistic to me.

I cant beleive people who moan about games being too hard, thats what makes a good game great...the fact that you HAVE to get good at it to become a good player. Too many games out there are too piss easy to play and after 10mins your're whacking CPU left right and centre. Of course the best experience is online play (apparently in the pipeline for the next Brian Lara game) but you want the CPU to be bloody hard at the highest level.
Me thinks you just gotta practice and eventually it will come, as for the easy level being too easy, well thats for the comlete numpties to get happy about :)
