What happened to you ninja? Earlier this season you were a shining beacon of positivity, after every defeat you were on the phone in saying chin up, keep the faith etc. Now you seem to have lost that optimism, and always seem to be posting negative stuff.

All those teams, Ninja, are better than us so maybe these players are actually moving us UP. I wouldn't know I am not a proffessional football manager.

Well we must be really rubbish if we no longer consider ourselves better than Tranmere, Yeovil and Swindon. We damn well should be, to say the VERY least.

We beat Wycombe 5-2 and all of a sudden we're brilliant? It wasn't long ago everyone was moaning about our lack of effectiveness against Leyton Orient... Funny what one result does to the mentality, eh. We're no better now than we were with Slade in charge.
We're a lot better now than when Slade was in charge, we were shite against Orient because Dicker was suspended.

What happened? We got rid of Slade, in whom I had confidence. We appointed a name, not an experienced manager. We signed a goalkeeper I have less confidence in than when Henderson was donning the gloves and I've fallen out of love with the club again.. same thing happened when McGhee was here. We became a very dull club, as we are now, and the one positive thing I can say at the moment is that Poyet won't be here very long anyway.

But all the time he is and he thinks that players like El-Abd are "my best defender" and he insists on playing Navarro, even though he has no impact on the game whatsoever, I'm not going to be very positive. But this is part of supporting a football club... you hang about even when you don't like the players/managers representing the club. They're temporary, fans are permanent. I just don't enjoy watching us at the moment.

 < And I mean that.

Why?

The players we got in last summer generally are shit. The rest of the squad just about survived last season having been shit for 95% of it.

Poyet hasn't been able to spend any money yet.

Yes, this mornings news is depressing, but get a f***ing grip and wait until the end of January to see what we've done in terms of transfers, and March or so to see how we're performing with new players.

Poyet's done bugger all so far and has been a bit disappointing, but it's early days yet.

The last Slade game I saw was Orient away in the Johnstones Paint, where we played them off the pitch without having the cutting edge. The last Poyet game I saw was at Swindon, where (in my opinion) we played them off the pitch but didn't have the cutting edge. Personally, I think we're no better. Hopefully Glenn Murray is back on form and we'll pick up again now, but I'm not expecting much.

Poyet doesn't know what he's doing. We're suffering from having an inexperienced manager, keeping Brezovan is a mistake but Hoyte is an even bigger one. Letting Wright leave without looking at him is daft, Sebastien Carole being back on trial is pointless because he's not good enough in general and yet Poyet wants to take a look. Interesting.

Keeping Brezovan is a good move. He has played well since being here, bar the mistake at Wycombe. He is better than Smith. Hoyte is a strange one, maybe Poyet feels his pace and passing ability count against his defensive frailties. Carole is on trial, that is all. These facts do not add up to Poyet not knowing what he is doing.

So, in summary, we've got a goalkeeper not good enough for Swindon, a winger not good enough for Tranmere and a midfielder not good enough for Yeovil (though I always liked George O'Callaghan!).

You have fallen out of love for the club? You will be missed, especially as you have only been to Orient and Swindon in the last three months.

We got rid of Slade for THIS?

We have only signed Brezovan out of those three, engage your brain before you start slagging Poyet off.

I don't take any pride in thinking Poyet is screwing the team up, and contrary to popular opinion, I love this club and I'll always support it, whoever is in charge. But I don't like the job Poyet is doing here and I'm not fond of the players he seems to be.

Slade: Played 17 Won 3 Drew 5 Lost 9
Poyet: Played 11 Won 5 Drew 1 Lost 5

Signs of improvement, surely. Especially as during Slades rein we played 9 of the teams in the bottom half. As opposed to 5 of the top 6 since Poyet has been here.

On the plus side, No El-Abd saturday, thank merciful Lord.

You ended with the most stupid statement of the lot. El Abd was the best defender on the pitch Monday (not very stiff competition, I know). He has also been the best defender in the team since Poyet arrived. But don't let that stop you just deciding El Abd is rubbish because popular opinion on here has it that way.

haha, we were dismal at Leyton Orient. And Swindon are a lot better side than they are even if we had played them off the pitch (we didn't). The football we're playing is massively improved, the defence, despite high pitched wailing whenever we concede a goal, has improved - it helps that Poyet isn't changing centrebacks every week. We've already won more games under Poyet than we did under Slade. Essentially you're crying because we sacked Slade who you thought was better than he actually was and then signed a keeper who used play for Swindon. It's embarrassing.

I have my right to opinion as much as anyone else, whether you agree or not is not important. As I said, the players and managers are temporary but the fans are permanent, whether you like them or not you perservere. We've seen worse than the current situation, and it won't always be this bleak.

What is that even supposed to mean?

We need a strong No 2 and I think that is what Brezovan will be. Smith will be off back to Scotland because something has gone wrong there. Personally I'm glad Hoyte could be staying for the season he has an understanding with Bennett and gives a lot of pace down the right side. Granted his positioning needs improving but I think that will come, Wenger is not that bad a judge of players

People also have the right to disagree with you. It really isn't that bad, on Poyet's current win rate we will end up with 59 points (if you include cup games in the percentage) or 51 (if you don't) either way we would be safe, also we have a run of easier games coming up.

The playoff run and two seasons in the Championship were exceedingly dull. Fancy having the likes of West Ham, Sunderland and Wolves coming to our lowly little stadium... We were spoilt under Adams and Slade.

A positive is that Poyet will not be here for long? :thud:

All over a bloody goalkeeper from your beloved Swindon. :shootself

Am i the only person to think Brezovan is absolutely dire! At Orient i thought he looked like a bad sunday league player and he commanded his box woefully with his kicking 'ability' even worse (could have been down to pitch conditions though?) And at Wycombe that absolute howler any two year old could have caught! Granted he had a fine game at Exeter with the good penalty save (which he gave away) and some decent saves, but since then he has looked very uneasy! There is surely much, much better out there than a Swindon Town reject. I'm not usually that negative about our players but anything but him.
Also in my opinon Hoyte isn't great but he would be a decent squad player for us, giving us competition and much needed pace (all be it him only using it to make up for his own errors/bad positioning!!!)

and yet he has the loest goals conceeded raio of all our keepers by a fair way ???
