Now Brezovan's back and match-fit, should he return to the starting XI as our number one 'keeper? Or should he have to wait for Ankergren to mess up (again!)?

Hopefully he'll be back between the posts on Saturday.

I would have Big Pete back in goal but I think Casper is here on the promise of first team football. I don't think Gus will drop him.

I can't believe that's true. No player should ever be promised first team football. That's madness.

Difficult to drop CA after a clean sheet but Brez is the better keeper.

This may be interesting. When we signed Brezovan last season he was shaky at first due to lack of match practice, but he got better.

We now find ourselves in the same situation with Ankergren. This is a difficult decision for the manager, as I honestly believe we have yet to see the best in Ankergren.

The entire defence was rock solid against a fairly decent MK Dons team. Harsh on the keeper and the centre backs if Brez or Greer get to walk back into the side.

Brez when match fit sounds better but needs to prove that hes back in the reserves...no evidence of that yet and Casper has a clean sheet to his name.

Someone on here insisted the same thing of Brezovan last season.

People were saying it's a contractual clause for Adam Virgo. It's complete nonsense. No player at this level will get that promise.

Having said that, I agree with a couple of others on here, Brezovan gives me more confidence, but after the performance (albeit shaky at times from Casper)and clean sheet v MK dons, it isn't fair to change up the defence/keeper.

I agree. Brez is a good keeper and excellent at commanding his area but I think Ankergren is better than what he has shown. He will improve and I think we should stick with him for Saturday. It's only fair after a clean sheet.

Oh I don't think it's in his contract or anything as official as that. Just the way Gus spoke when he signed him sounded as if he was number 1 and the other 3 keepers had to challenge him for it. I don't think Casper would have turned down other offers in Europe if Gus said he's number 2 when Pete is fit.

He was brought in as a number one because Brez was injured and the man in possession is number one so I suppose from that perspective you're right. It only takes one mistake for Brez to get back in, though, and then he'll be number one, so it doesn't take long for things to change.

The two are here to challenge each other.

Casper kept a clean sheet and caught everything he could, no silly punching so should keep the shirt.
