Slightly off tangent but Im sure those remainers that had animal welfare high on their list will take some comfort that post brexit the UK will no longer be constrained by EU rules and the UK will be able to have a ban on Foie Gras. PETA are certainly hopeful of a sales ban post brexit as a step in the right direction.

Good point, take back control and raise those standards rather than allow this cruel EU sanctioned practice to continue.

I find it hard to believe that anyone - whether pro or anti Brexit - with half a brain could have any confidence in the current government. I could scarcely believe Davis's performance today or that of May. 18 months since the referendum and precisely what has been achieved? Answers on the back of a postage stamp please......................
Couldn't agree more and I'm a staunch leaver...:)
The politicians in this country are a complete utter bunch of wimps and this country needs leaders not bloody followers. Its embarrassing how this country gets walked over by everyone and it's no wonder we're always potless even with a super economy.
Saying that the Brussels buffoons do very little for what they get paid for and expect us to do everything :(

Think we need a complete overhaul in the political system as we need new fresh blood from all walks of life and not just the rich pampered university poodles. This country craves direction and some sort of strategy that puts this country first for once.

Do "pikeys" have some important input on the withdrawal agreement that parliament cant handle themselves?, Do "pikeys" favour a second referendum?
Cant say ive seen any info that warrants your "except pikeys" input on that issue.

Me neither, I just don't like them.
All a bit tongue in cheek and I know it's naughty to add a little humour (apprently) into a serious heated thread.
Sorry.

This. Pro Brexit people look like pro resurrection people right now. Hope in ludicrous excess of expectation. And even hope....how much hope? Listen to this little gem to find out ('very little, I assure you' is the spoiler alert verdict)

Give me strength. You have been posting hundreds of posts in favour of Brexit over the last 2 years - because of foie gras? Your credibility on this thread has been hung out to dry.....

Hope in ludicrous excess of expectation.

That perfectly sums up the mind-set of some of the remainers, wishing that Brexit would just go away and they'd wake up and find it never happened, or that politicians in the Westminster bubble had managed to overturn the referendum result.
The status quo as it was before the referendum simply isn't an option any more. The EU will see to that - they never liked our opt outs anyway, so forget getting back to that cosy world where some people mistakenly thought everything was hunky-dory.

1.Have you ever been to Northern Ireland, any part of it?I certainly know where it is.
2.If you were intelligent enough, you would be retired by now. There are plenty younger than you that have.
3.I answered your question about my mental health, but you are still failing to answer mine. This leads me to believe you are either ignorant,or are trying to hide/avoid something.
Keep the insults coming, they mean nothing and bullies never prosper.

1) Yes. A former girlfriend studied at Queens.
2) Sorry but I’m really struggling to understand your link between retirement and intelligence. And probably the last thing I’d ever do is resort to crass discussions about my financial well being, my working position and my ability to retire. If your entire raison detre was to retire to Birmingham then I’m genuinely pleased it worked out for you; you’ve achieved your goal.
3) No. I do not.

Looks a broken man. The Brexit elite getting shown up for what they are - low calibre chancers

As I have previously said. There’s little better than seeing a cock-sure arrogant swaggering Tory get his comeuppance. The EU are owning him. Where’s your cake David? Is Boris going to make them whistle?

So we've put £3bn been aside for Brexit without any impact or evaluation? You couldn't make this up

I see no solution to the Ireland issue, but hopefully we can get something fudged and the can kicked down the road to next stage.

They do seem to have convinced themselves that they will be able to exist beyond any challenge or scrutiny as their press will always support them and find a scapegoat to distract the public's attention if needed. I think they honestly believe that once they have pulled up the drawbridge on Europe and sorted the BBC they can live in a never-never land beyond accountability for ever.

Absolutely. Doesn’t matter if you are Leave or Remain, Tory or Labour now. Anyone who is being honest with themselves can see that this is one of the biggest OMNISHAMBLES we have ever waded through.
