350 million pounds each week for the NHS. The most disgraceful lie in recent British political history. Shameful.
It was untrue wasn't it! I hope, for balance, that you are in the line complaining about the lack of tax hikes and suchlike that George Osborne promised would be an immediate effect of Brexit?

Yes, both sides came out with some crap but the £350 million a week for the NHS takes some beating. Many people voted on the basis of that lie. Remember, Brexit hasn't even started yet so we cannot know the economic impact. There might well be tax rises in future, we don't know. We do know that the vote has already had some very serious social consequences with police evidence of a rise in racist attacks against EU nationals living in the UK which I think is deeply worrying.

she didnt admit it was "likely" to happen at all.
she was just emphasising how the negotiations on visas are reciprocal and it cant be ruled out,she did say it was not "desirable".

Its at this point you have to ask yourself what is the most likely outcome, will the negotiations end with us having 90 day visa free travel for holidays and business trips, like Japan,Argentina,USA,Grenada and a host of other countries have to The EU and will EU citizens have 90 day visa free travel for holidays and business trips to The UK.
or
will The EU say no we must pay for visas to enter The EU and likewise EU citizens must pay to enter the UK. Considering Rudd sees the latter as not desirable and i cant see The EU wilfully punishing their own citizens in their pockets i know which outcome my money is on.

No one was lied to on this issue, i cant think of one person that didnt know visa access would be an issue post Brexit. I have heard plenty of people though who dont understand the concept of visa access being a reciprocal issue

what is very possible however a few years down the line is all non EU citizens who dont need a visa having to pay an Esta style check and permission to travel fee.The Germans and French are keen on the idea to combat terrorism and the EU is going to look into it. Given the minimal cost of doing it online and being valid for a number of years that would hardly be a big issue though.

Somewhat ironic that all the people you lot wanted to rein in ( brown foreigners) will be travelling around or staying here unencumbered while the average Englander is going to have to jump through endless hoOps just to go camping in France. You lot really have shot yourselves, and the man next to you, in the foot.
So much for setting Britain free.

I saw this yesterday. Growth of just 0.3% proped up by near-zero interest rates and a whopping 435 billion of QE? 435 billion. Jesus. What happens when interest rates can't go lower and the BoE runs out of ink in its printing machine? No doubt some will try and spin this as positive.

Unfortunately a lot of leave voters simply won't even understand what this means.

A post that is as ridiculous as it is stupid and without an shred of evidence to back it up.

I don't need evidence. I just point at leave voters and people know what I mean.

So you're claiming that people will be able to come to the UK unfettered but UK citizens will need to 'jump through hoops' ( i.e. have visas ) to be able to go to main land Europe ? You're mad, loopy and stupid.

prehaps we could ask the ECB for advise, as they have experience of at 0% interest rates (and negative rates) with a whopping €1.1Tn of QE. where do economies go next?

1.1Tn was only the start - they then added another third again !

Strange, if we get good news then it has nothing to do with Brexit as it has not kicked in yet. Get "predicted " bad news and suddenly it is down to Brexit.

Yes, both sides came out with some crap but the £350 million a week for the NHS takes some beating. Many people voted on the basis of that lie.
Yes, isn't it absolutely amazing that people think the other side's lies were worse than their own. Of course, there wouldn't be any bias in this!

Even more amazing though, is how self-appointed experts in the remainer camp can be so positive that they know the mind-set of leave voters. Can we assume that remainers are in fact mind-readers too? I cannot, of course, speak for all leavers (I don't have the same mystic powers!) but I do know that many of us took the £350 million with more than a very large pinch of salt - in fact some of us weren't influenced by the campaign lies at all.

I'm trying to stay out of this thread now, but as a 'remain' voter I can confirm that I'm not a mind-reader.

Please carry on as you were though.

On the 17th of October. Another debate based on a petition like the 'lets have a second referendum' one, which went nowhere as well. Government response to it in the meantime:

The British people have voted to leave the EU and their will must be respected and delivered. The process for leaving the EU and determining our future relationship will be a complex one, so we need to take time to think through our objectives and approach. We want to ensure the best possible outcome for Britain and the future UK-EU relationship. As part of this, the government will of course work closely with the devolved administrations to ensure we get the best deal for the UK as a whole. We should not trigger Article 50 until we have a UK approach and objectives, so Article 50 should not be invoked before the end of this year.

when i mentioned there were berks who didnt understand the concept of visa access being reciprocal i didnt realise that an idiot would be so swift to show their ignorance and highlight exactly what i meant........i forgot you.

Considering the brexit immigration vote was about extending border controls onto Europeans i have to say I must have missed the geography lesson that you attended that thinks they are " brown people". Which brown people are you thinking of again? The Greeks? Spanish maybe? Perhaps the Poles?.......Its the Swedish isnt it?........pesky brown people the lot of them.

doubt it.
i believe there are polls and studies of what people considered the most important issues,i havnt seen one that backs up your stance many voted because of it.

it was a bus logo. I paid it zero attention.
