These are the kind of deals the UK can expect from now on. Workers rights eroded as harsh terms are foisted upon us. I warned this would happen way back in July and what do ya know, it's started. Well done Brexiteers. This is what you voted for.

Yep. Everything I've predicted so far is happening.

Yes you have previously been predicting workers rights will be eroded.
But everything you have predicted is now happening?Really?

Which workers rights have been eroded because of the Brexit vote?
Is it a long list of rights no longer enjoyed because of a Leave vote or perhaps is it simply something you have imagined in your head and convinced yourself to be true.

Brexit will not happen. The Irish voted to leave with a 53% majority in 2008 and then held a second referendum in 2009 when 67% voted to remain. At some point in the process we will have a second UK referendum and the original "out" vote will be overturned.

Not true
The Irish referendum was not an IN/OUT of the EU vote, they were not voting to Remain or Leave the union

Not at all. I don't hate anything. Just curious. I'd be equally curious if you were wetting your pants over, say, Greenland. Why not France, Spain, Italy? What's the obsession with Germsny?
Everyone in the UK should take interest in Germany, as much for its history as for its current influence in the world.

Personally, I have a multitude of Germans in my family and that gives me extra interest as does the many times I've visited the country.

As a more moderate person, I am alarmed at the way in which Merkel has behaved, I think her actions were a result of misguided kindness but were the biggest mistake a western European leader has made on home soil since the second world war. Her open door policy has introduced mostly single men from a completely different society in very very large numbers and that's why there have been problems such as at new year's eve in Cologne.

In regard to the political outcome for Merkel and Germany as a whole, then we simply don't see the situation in the same way. I think Merkel will be very concerned with this result, it not only undermines her, but the afd will probably continue to gain ground, as will right wing sentiment. Germany and Europe are in a dangerous place.

this board has covered Austrian, French, Spanish elections in recent months, and quite in depth discussion on Greece. and no bed wetting there, like there's none here. well, not quite none, someone seems rather upset.

the rise of German equivilent of UKIP seems fairly relevent to EU referendum outcome, it may sway the German leaders and main political parties to alter their apporach to EU and indeed the exit of UK. it may mean nothing at all, maybe a Germanphile could explain the nuance of what the result could or couldnt mean to Germany, EU and UK?

As an aside

Yeah ok, whatever side you want. You were extremely interested in the UK vote in the referendum (extremely vocal!) even though you live in the Fatherland. So why cant we comment on German politics?
A good point. But as I said earlier, Herr doesn't like anyone else commenting or having an opinion about Germany. When this occurs, apparently it's people 'wetting themselves'.

I should think everybody in the world is interested in German politics.A powerful country that in the last century has been responsible for many millions of deaths, the re-introduction of slavery to Europe, and the attempted extermination of homosexuals, the mentally ill, gypsies etc. Some people choose to ignore history, more fool them!

Germany? Pah! A contemptibly week-kneed effort compared with the a majesty and awe of our globe-straddling double century world domination.

History indeed.

I don't disagree with your point about taking an interest in German affairs, but in the interest of balance to your post, the British actually invented concentration camps barely a century ago. See the Boer War for details.

As for the recent results in Germany, this is a direct consequence of Merkel being a useless stereo-typical dreary East German career politician. She allowed a million refugees into that country unchecked out of pure selfishness, by playing on the modern German sentiment (because of their recent history) of being seen to be welcoming to refugees. Anyone who disagreed with this bland old bag was being racist apparently.

Instead, it turns out she has massively fcked up. People are not hostile to foreigners in Germany anymore but don't take kindly to some of the crime they've seen as well as the economic strain. But who'd have thought allowing 1m predominantly male foreigners into Germany unchecked might have caused malcontent among the electorate eh? She is a complete simpleton.

Which Imperial Germany took to a different level, straight afterwards, over the border in modern day Namibia.

Forgive me if I am missing a point, but I am not sure where all this competitive genocide historic point-scoring is taking us.

It all started with some foreigner asking why people were sticking their nose into german politics, even though he thinks it's ok for him to stick his nose into our domestic issues.'Arbeit macht frei' is a good enough reason for me to keep an eye on what the nasties are up to,but others seem to think us British behaved worse, idiots.

I see our PM has binned the idea of a points system for immigrants. Another Brexit key stance reneged upon. Not looking good is it! 2nd referendum once all the lies are exposed please!!!

It was a Brexit proposal that May says she is not keen on. It's hardly been reneged upon and hasn't yet been binned. Straw clutching in the extreme. The stance regarding limiting immigration has not changed and is supported by May.
