War will not break out just because of the referendum result, but if we leave and that then foments further break up of the E.U., it will be a much more likely event to happen in the future. Brexit in itself is extremely unlikely to start a war, but it could be the catalyst for a chain of events that lead to one.
I don't know how many times it has been said, but we have not done it yet, I hope we never do, but if we do, budgets will need to be addressed, markets will fall and France may well decide it would rather we do not have our border force in their country.

Well of course the background to this was Turkey but Boris, not satisfied with his previous (and ongoing) lie that Turkey was set to join the EU, compounded his 'terrify the natives' campaign by announcing that the EU's eastern border was moving from Greece to Syria, which was so far from being an even-handed definition of what might happen that it can reasonably be described as a further lie. It was a lie you apparently support and I may have to report you to Pastafarian, who has strong views about this sort of thing.
