Imagine being so radicalised by not getting your way in a democratic vote several years ago that you would constantly conflate the effects of Covid with Brexit just so you could continue to whine on about said topic on numerous threads year after year after year. Help is out there ...

Sssh!

They'll never know if you don't mention it on here!

There's no doubt that there is also an HGV driver shortage (but not petrol shortage) in mainland Europe. Our shortage is the worst, though, exacerbated by Brexit... bloody Brexit indeed! Do you remember when we were told how much better things would be by now (having left the EU). Most commentators have stopped saying that at least.....

Poor old Berty is mixing up his Apples and Oranges, this is a shortage at one supermarket chain due to industrial action. Plenty of other supermarket's in Belgium to choose from such as the Delhaize group and Colruyt ( Who do some fantastic deals on Belgian beers btw) and plenty of petrol to travel to them too.

5000 lorry drivers urgently needed in Belgium to prevent the shelves emptying, 40 - 50,000 shortage in France, similar number in Germany ... bloody Brexit [emoji6]

And why is everyone else's shortage so much less than Britain's, both in absolute and per head of population ?

Congratulations you have identified a Brexit benefit. Unfortunately, the exodus of HGV drivers from Britain back to the EU is a Brexit benefit to them, not us :dunce:

*sigh*

I think there is definitely a need for some to move on and step aside from a decision of 6 years ago.

.... It's done and there is no going back. It's about how we move forward now. But I'm quite happy to leave it here.

If only :dunce:

Being suckered into Brexit was no good for any of us - apart from Nazi Boy, who creams himself over a blue passport.

Not only still editing other's quotes, but editing quotes from completely different threads before quoting them.

Not desperate at all :lolol:

Early shift today ?

We all know you love an edit and are fine editing other peoples quotes when it suits so what's the problem?

Different thread but exactly the same topic .... :dunky:

Interesting there were some empty shelves in Carrefour in Brussels today due to some strike action.

When are you ordering your French Turkey for Christmas JC?

Let it go? Why? We're all still waiting for all the benefits to come our way, but they seem in very short supply. The downsides seem to come thick and fast, however.
'Let it go'. :lolol:

*sigh* Ok, carry on but everything you (we) type on here is totally meaningless and makes zero difference apart from perhaps serving as some sort of therapy?

Agreed, it makes no real difference in the grand scheme of things, but it is enlightening watching those stalwarts of Brexit fall by the wayside, leaving (mostly) the flotsam and jetsam trying to pretend that all is fine and dandy.
