I’ll be dead by then.

Nearly all of us will be....

That's why JRM said it.
That's why the faithful repeat it.

It's the modern, political version of 'Jim Jones' type brainwashing..... designed to suspend critical scrutiny for a couple of generations.

Don't give a toss what JRM has said plum voiced idiot. It was my choice. Do you still not accept the democratic vote ?

Once again you seem to be preoccupied with the vote five years ago, not me. Or most other reasonable people.

It's now that matters, the past is gone.

To be blunt, no one, but no one gives a toss how you voted.

They care about what that majority vote is doing to their lives now.

The UK left on 31st December 2020. Last year was the transition year where EU tariffs etc still applied despite having no representation in Brussels.
Now we are starting to feel the results, with very few workers in hospitality, shortage of heavy goods drivers in haulage, farming especially seasonal work, fishing decimated, Northern Ireland trade cut off etc,

You don’t live in the UK, so really don’t understand our situation despite what’s on news channels, or the internet.

Living in the UK or not, it makes no sense to try to make a real assessment of the consequences of leaving the EU until the world reaches some kind of state of normality.

Be fair, if it suits the narrative that any issue for the next 30 years is down to Brexit, let them bleat.

If you name the issue, we can debate whether it is down to Brexit or not.

Don't forget the voters were promised 'sunny uplands' for voting out, presumably in our lifetimes

Not sure that is Brexit. Something to do with a boat being stuck which is still having roll on effects

That must be a bloody big boat! :lolol::dunce:

Yeah, with Brexit hindering not helping. Everyone else on this thread are the ones with narratives are they?

The federation also said Brexit-related complications are further squeezing UK timber stocks, as 80 per cent of the softwood used in building comes from Europe. In new-build housing, 90 per cent of the softwood comes from the continent. Timber is the third most imported construction item according to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), with the industry spending £816m on it last year.

Well we were held to ransom by those who could not accept a democratic vote for 4yrs but we actually left 1 yr ago. Let's give it another 40yrs and then take stock
Yes, let's get to the point where no one under 63 has had a say in the sorry saga before taking stock. Lol.

Even more reason to drink up this rich and fruitful transition period, living each day like it's our last.

Nectar.........

Has to be better and healthier than moaning and groaning like some seem to do.

We aren’t in a transition period, we are out. Some agreements have a little longer but that’s part of the exit deal.
It sounds very romantic but I’m realistic.
