Bloody Worthing!
I know you've got your tea towel and 50p piece (shame about the Big Ben Bong) but, amongst the many things that have been explained to you numerous times before but you still aren't capable of grasping, is that nothing actually happens for another 42 days.

Then, you might actually find out what you voted for 4.5 years ago, and what it is you need to 'get over'

Altogether now

Tick tock

I for one am looking forward to waking up on 1st Jan and rushing to the forum to see the evidence of all the goodies that await. I've got a sneaking suspicion that the reality will be less than the sunny uplands that our Leaver friends have been expecting (what exactly are they expecting?) and if it turns out that things are 'problematic' then doubtless they will still feel totally vindicated in their vote and subsequent rationalisations for it, heads held high after escaping from the yoke of EU's awful autocracy and merrily whistling the theme from The Great Escape, while the nation they are so proud of accelerates its slippage into the National League (South) of nations.

They were conned, the usual suspects used racism and xenophobia to groom the people the Tories pounded with austerity and made them feel the EU had made their life worse, now they are finding while they were distracted their pockets were actually being picked. Just this week the true corruption has finally got mainstream attention, Johnson's cronies have been enriching their mates while the country is on its knees experiencing its worse economic and health crisis since WW2

Its hard to see anything other than remain being vindicated pretty much in full, but it gives me no pleasure to see predictions come true.

If the Vote Leave lies could all be fulfilled I think I would have voted leave, problem it was always just fantasy.

The final insult could well be the break up of our Union, the thought of a hard border with our Scottish brothers and sisters makes me shudder and will result in another wave of self destructive domestic infighting for years. The only way Scottish independence can be delivered is with the turbo charging of English nationalism. Then there's Ireland, another mess.

This whole thing is so far from over, we need a government that will unify the nation, but with at least 4 year of Johnsons or another member of Vote Leave I fear it may already be too late, the damage is done

A small crumb of comfort is that the Fixed Term Parliament Act means the next election is on the first Thursday in May of the 5th year of Government ie May 2nd 2024.

Only 3 1/2 years to go !

Enough time for parties to campaign and build the case to rejoin

WE'VE LEFT, get over it and move on.

Just because we've left doesn't mean we can't rejoin in the future. Otherwise why did people still campaign to leave after we joined?

If people want to rejoin the EU and campaign for it accordingly (provided it's done in a peaceful, legal way) then who the hell are you to stop them? Personally I'm not keen on the idea of clamping down on people's thoughts, sounds a bit...totalitarian to me.

Well said :clap2:

Who the HELL am I anyway?

A bit totalitarian sounds a bit of an oxymoron.

This is worse than Trump.

WE'VE LEFT, get over it and move on.

Certainly, many similarities between the Remoaner jihadis on this thread and the orange one .... unable to accept democratic results when they lose, petulant, dishonest, limited cognitive ability, prone to misrepresentation, hugely insecure, echo chamber obsessives spending too much time on social media. But always worth remembering the likes of GrizzlingRandyNickozero are the extreme fringe and are widely viewed as tedious bellends stifling any reasoned debate as many remain and leave voters on here acknowledged recently. You must have endless patience or a masochistic streak replying to their nonsense!

But, purely coincidentally, Is it PotG? only turns up and tries when JC Footy Genius isn't logged on. You'd think that people of their means would be able to afford two devices to access the Internet, rather than have to share, wouldn't you

EU ... post Brexit brave new world.

Continuing on from the unifying spirit of finding common ground amongst most leave/remain voters on NSC eg accepting the remoaner/Europhile nutjobs who infest the Brexit thread are best ignored, may I humbly ask how those who have had many problems with the direction of the EC/EU over past years/decades but still voted remain expected the EU to suddenly change and reverse the path of ever closer union/more EU which you agreed was a serious mistake?
