Silly old bat
He's not Irish any more than English, French and probably a few other nationalities. His grandfather's great great great granddad was from Sussex and carried the name Biden across the pond. I think it's sad shame that he appeared to react like that as I like him, but seems he has a racist attitude if you read that correctly.

That’s one side of the family, but everyone has multiple grandparents, 4, 16, 32 etc etc.

I’ve seen a screenshot of Biden & Harris views on Johnson, in tomorrow’s Sunday Times. Not their view of Britain, but Johnson. It is not good.

Yes, that is correct. It is a shame that there may be mutual dislike for Johnson but that is understandable. More a shame though if as Lincoln Imp's suggestion, Biden has prejudice against the UK. Anyhow, I am glad he got in and not that @!$%X!!! again.

I doubt Biden has prejudice against the UK but he doesn't seem to like its leadership. I don't blame him. The Sunday Times today includes this:

From Obama's press aide - "Johnson is a shape shifting creep... we will never forget your racist comments about Obama and slavish devotion to Trump"

From a Democratic source - "Biden and Obama are like family. The Kenyan remark has never gone away. They see Boris and Cummings as Trump and Bannon."

"I f you think Joe hates him you should hear Kamala."

And so on. The problem is, however much Biden might want close working relationships in certain areas with Britain his first point of call will be Boris Johnson, a self-evident lying chancer he has little in common with. The presence of Johnson and his like-minded cronies will further diminish Britain's influence in the world, an influence that was in retreat in any case.

I really can't see how any Johnson-voter or Brexit supporter can complain about this. They knew what they were getting.

The only good thing about this is that it will make it more likely that the UK will be forced into a deal with the EU.

Great. That'll help, sounds an ideal 'friend across the pond'.

Still, noses to spite face and all that.

And Biden has no skeletons in his cupboard?
My God, if you are relieved to get rid of Trump, just wait until the press get their teeth into this rather dim, rather dreary, rather tainted, rather corrupt politician. Its going to come pouring out of the woodwork in bucketloads. He won't last long and then God help us.

Giving lessons in honesty and integrity now ?

Sadly, you cannot fix the EU from the inside.
Farage was right and I can back him up ( with experience ) The organisation is rotten to the core. With power comes corruption and it is rife within the EU. The level of waste is staggeringly huge and there is no accountability. No internal fiscal control. They cannot sign off any set of accounts, therefore they are operating illegally. It is the most corrupt body on the face of the Earth and yet millions in this country glibly choose to ignore this and pursue some sort of Utopian dream.
My vote on Thursday was a vote for honesty, visibility, transparency and self-control. Its another matter if our own politicians waste money. We vote them in and we can vote them out again. We have some sort of control unlike this runaway black hole.
The EU is out of control. Eventually, it will eat itself and the dream will be over. All the member states will revert back to independency and all will continue to trade happily with each other. After all, business is business.

Oh dear....there you go again....take a deep breath .....stop spending every waking hour bemoaning the exit from the EU and try comparing the economic effect of Brexit to Covid..... then I promise I won't come on here again with an exasperated rant. Bit much to ask, I know but give it a try.
( p.s I didn't vote for Brexit. I own a business and import from Europe. Why would I vote for Brexit?....again, difficult to understand but give it a try )

I see your own skeletons have been aired elsewhere but just for the record my recent little flurry of posts weren't written in praise of Joe Biden or criticism of Donald Trump. My remarks had nothing to do with the qualities of either. You are leaping to conclusions and attempting to have a fight in an empty room.

If only there was a massive thread in a separate forum this post could have gone in.

SSSHHHhhh ....

Not on the main board. What is happening in an election in another country and which way you wipe your arse has far more effect on NSCers than what happens in this country in 53 days ???
