Barnier to MEP's, he's trolling us..

"Downing Street needs to offer Scottish fishermen an opportunity to develop fisheries in their own waters, in light of the growing independence sentiment in Scotland"....

Bloody Worthing!
Just victims that got groomed, prepare for chaos deal or no deal

Don't worry it will only be there for 5 years, then another 45 years for any Brexit benefits

Always a bit tempting to roll out a 'careful what you wish (or vote) for'. And indeed the Garden of England did have a relatively high pro-Brexit vote. But there was still a substantial minority who voted against it and some might well have seen this coming. That can't be much fun.

So he's actually quoting Duty Free as a benefit of Brexit???? Only for Customs and Excise..... Currently you can pretty much fill your car with wine, beer and spirts bought abroad saving an absolute fortune.. Going back to 6 bottles of wine or a Litre of Spirits and 200 fags is heartbreaking.

The locals are complaining their house prices are tumbling. Basically, it's a land grab and will never return to nature, even if the lorry parks aren't wanted. Next stop, housing being built.

The demise of duty free profits killed our hovercraft crossings.

At least we'll get our hovers back.

This is of course incredibly disingenuous from Britain favourite off shore investor

For example, currently you can bring back as much wine as you like from France (for personal consumption) where duty on is pennies, whereas in the UK its £1.60. Typically a £6 bottle is around £3 over in France

Mogg is trying to pretend there is some benefit of being the first country in the modern age to impose trade sanctions on itself.

Suspect it will be back to 2-3 litres in the DF shop.

Nice porta-loo contract up for grabs though...

There are some quite nice wines that cost only 2-3 Euros bottle in the French supermarkets.... The Roche Mazet Cab-Sav is particularly quaffable and that's usually about €2.40 at LeClerec.

Indeed. Duty Free is and always was a disingenuous consumer con job. Even before the single market, alcohol and cigarettes were invariably cheaper in European retail outlets than any duty free shop at an airport.
