The definitive EU Referendum thread (please keep it all here)

You deserve to be patronised with ridiculously childish posts like that.

Really? If they worked so hard to build the kind of country we have today, why do they want to send us back in time? Why is that childish, because I'm questioning the motives of the untouchable 'elder' generation?

And you really believe they do ? Really ? It hasnt occurred to you that they simply believe we would fare better outside of the EU and thats the reason they voted out ? If it hasnt then THAT is the reason i told you to grow up.

That's terrible, I'm very sorry. People on this board seem to think that nothing will happen because of this vote, but tens if not hundreds of thousands will lose jobs. That is not something to celebrate.

I'm finding it utterly repulsive that people are basking in the glory of guaranteed job losses for their friends and family.

The vast majority of voters don't understand how much their lifestyle is supported by the London economy. Watch the big firm climb over each other to move to Frankfurt. We will get what we deserve for that vote which is basically a racist vote against immigrants. Moderate Tory MP on TV this morning saying how people were saying to her in the street that they were voting to get rid of 'that lot'. Farage teased it out, Cameron let them in, and all the closet racists exploited it.

I have come to the conclusion that Farage is the Joey Barton of politics. A nasty little ankle biting scrote.

Excellent. When I was in the polling station yesterday it was packed and clear there were a lot of people who didn't usually vote.

Short sold sterling as a result and will buy it back when markets open.

Bloody hell - I'm not of the 'elder' generation and I voted to leave. I did it for myself and for my kids. The idea that the result is going to drag us back to the dark ages is quite pathetic really.

Watch your prediction come to nothing.

Email from senior management team this morning. Strategic review starts Monday. Have been tipped off that our Dutch office has been looking at larger premises for the past month under the instruction senior directors in case of exit vote. Looks like it is a case of relocate to Holland or find a new job. Thanks a lot Brexit voters. Thanks Brexit voters!

Relocate to Holland?

Without an EU passport?

That's my point.

Everybody else has been screwing up left right and centre, whereas Farage has just pounded his way through.
He's been unequivocal in his one message, while the Labour party have turned first into the Tory's then the Communists.
The Conservatives have never had it so good, and yet Farage has smashed them apart too.

At the last general election he was even able to mobilised me.
I was able to ignore all the policies that were clearly the deranged ramblings of a bunch of weirdos and vote green, because I wanted some of Farage's 'one message' ideology.

I'm sure it's all arsehat bullshitery, and Farage is talking us into a place I think will have grave consequences but that still doesn't stop me from admiring his handling of the situation.

All this from a man who has repeated been told to 'do one' by the UK electorate.

Legendary politicking from the big man.

I agee with all that.

Carney has £250 Billion to try to prop up our economy ? has he just found that down the back of the sofa or is it the reason why the NHS, like our roads are crumbling ?

I would also bear in mind that the Dutch may take our lead.

I could do with some of that liquidity .... might as well spunk anything I have left and throw myself at the £350m a week we are going to save.

In April 1996 I was at the Goldstone shaking my head at what I saw as the self defeating actions of those who went on the pitch and broke the goalposts. It seemedlike directionless rage that would lead to nothing. Well it eventually led to The Amex. Maybe there will be something built from the wreckage. However first Britain has to look forward to the equivalent of a decade and a half of playing at the Withdean. There were some laughs along the way, but its not an attractive proposition.

There are some very sore losers on here. Those who chose to vote "OUT" are deemed stupid by the "STAY IN" side. Many believe that those who opted to stay are stupid. Accept it - it's called democracy. I look forward to the return of British pounds and ounces, pints, gallons and acres instead rather than European grams, litres and hectares.

I think this is an example of the stupidity we're talking about. For the sake of using different units to weigh things with, we've ****ed our economy and our environment. Well done, very astute.
