Yes, that's exactly how we feel!

Again, the theory of a successful economy creating money to invest in the state is just that - a theory.

Like others on another thread have said, tomorrow won't be the end of it. If Remain is victorious by just a few percent, I think they'll be a big increase in anti-EU feeling and support for UKIP.

It is not a theory at all. It's being played out in many economies. China has just produced the world's fastest computer ecosystem. It has surprised the Americans. China will soon not have to rely on purchasing computing power from the USA. It's policy of investment in this area will pay off.

We are not China. Alone, we do not have access to the limitless supply of manpower they have. Neither do we want to be like China. But we do have to compete. This is why we must give ourselves easy access to all the skills that we will require, whilst at the same time investing in the future.

The issues I outlined in the earlier post are not about scaremongering, they are just real things that will happen. Whilst alarmed, I'm not scared by them, because I know that with access to the right talent pools and markets - and the EU plays a part here - then we can be incredibly successful. The challenge is exciting.

Let's not cut ourselves off. Let's move forward and make the most of every opportunity available to us. Let's welcome the contribution that we can make in Europe and that EU nationals can bring to our country. A points based system flies in the face of that collaborative approach.

No exit poll today. Sky have paid YouGov to do a normal poll, i.e. telephone or internet or whatever they do, but there will be no actual exit poll. Banks are doing their own polling for their staff only, so if you know how to read a sterling derivatives market, then you could read the result.

Thats what i read in the Grauniad anyway

Sorry - yes - no "exit poll", but a normal poll published just after 10pm. I think the GBP:USD spot rate would tend to indicate the combined knowledge of the private polling - and that's not really done much today. Intriguing!

Just got back from work and popped round to my polling station, a few work vans turned up so hopefully they are putting their X's in the right place.

excellent
nothing like grabbing at any straws at this late stage

unfortunately mate unless the pollsters are massively wrong again i think this one is lost.
still, onwards and upwards, live to fight another day.

This conflict is not over by any means.

Exactly.....if it is Remain wait for the disappointments, the lies.....and all the things that the Brexit campaigners warned us of, will surface. I bet Merkel is smiling from ear to ear.

Well, if we do stay, and theres another referendum in ten or so years, according to Farage, etc we won't be able to get into the polling station for Turks

Hopefully your brother will vote, shame he did not take your Mum down eh.

He would have had to come from Southampton, and unless theres anything in it for him, my mum doesn't see him from one month to the next, and he probably won't vote anyway.

It's a shame that there's not electronic voting, or do it like the Eurovision scoring - all the postal votes get announced before the day and then you get regular updates on the scores on the doors. That would be exiting - "It's Election day, and it's LIVE"

Was that a Freudian slip?

Why are Brexiters generally angrier and more aggressive over this? Very strange

Really, here is just one comment from today, from a vocal Remainer.
quote "It is very worrying the way the far-right have been galvanised by the referendum. Whichever way the result goes, I also fear they won't crawl back under the stone they came from."
Plenty more of those around which is why another different Remainer got banned from the thread this morning.
If you are going to wear those specs perhaps put a patch over one eye.

We're not, and if you say that again I am coming to find you and pull your pants so far up your arse you will talk like Joe pasquale. You bloody remainers make me sick. Bloody morons. I am so angry and aggressive right now.

Yeah, you've got a point, we are[emoji4]
