Still early days but looks like there's going to be slight majority for Remain parties, can't see how that's going to solve anything given the Brexit Party's strong showing.

What a complete mess the Tories have made of this: whatever happens now, there's going to be a massive faultline in the British political system, one that could easily have been avoided.

The consequences of the Referendum are going to be felt for a generation (sigh)

Slight remain majority? Are you consuming mushrooms? LSD?

Widdecombe, The Brexit Parties poster girl gets in

Just saw that.

Genuine question. We know that Farrage was due a pension of £70,000 when he was no longer an MEP.

Don't know if that's down to his seniority or length as an MEP, serving the needs of his constituents.?

Will Miss Widdecombe get a similar pension after 6 months work?

Seriouly,does anyone know the answer?

Pick holes? I want to know if she will get a pension more than most people earn (apart from you obviously) for a few weeks work?

I was just asking. You haven't a clue. So why answer?

The Green Party have won over a third of the vote in Brighton and Hove for the European elections.

35.7 percent of Brighton and Hove voters chose the Greens in the city for the South East England region.

The Liberal Democrats came second with 22.2 percent, with the Brexit Party third with 17.4 percent.

Labour, who formed a new council administration last week, came fourth with just 13 percent.

Full results for the South East England region are yet to be declared.

Batten has lost his seat, and Benjamin failed so UKIP is finished. The Brexit gains are simply picking up UKIP & Conservative vote, but still not as many as have been lost.
LibDems & Greens gains are up.
