Sky just had some interesting interviews with people outside Westminster though...... "Interesting" people anyway.
Millwall or Burnley fans?

Being pedantic, it is at the end of Downing Street as there are wrought iron gates across the end so nobody can get anywhere near numbers 10 & 11. It's been like that since the IRA days.
Well I was there (observing) and I would hardly call it "diverse". To be honest, I thought this would have been a bloody good time to visit Waitrose.
I voted remain, but it had the feeling of "sponsored by the Guardian".
Sandi Toksvig ( I repeat Sandi Toksvig ) gave a speech.
Quite. And he seems to think he has one up on me because he captained the school team whilst I was busy getting myself a decent education. If I had my time again, I’d probably still plump for a degree in Mathematics over being captain of the year 6 football team. I guess it’s all relative though, the latter might impress the people in his local....who are probably the same people he went to school with.
Your disappointed, I can tell.
One had a Liverpool hat on, although he didn't sound like a Scouser. He was celebrating "Independence Day" as, as far as he was concerned, we've left the EU today. He said he'd celebrate today every year from now on.Millwall or Burnley fans?

You found Baker Lite!
I switch between the two (plus C4 News, shame they don't do a 24 hour version) but I've been watching Sky News more then BBC recently as it's less "scared of the government". Definitely.Absurd pro-Brexit weighting on BBC News right now with hugely disproportionate coverage of Leavers and their message. Sky News vastly more balanced. And still the BBC baiters whinge on.
Depends what you call diverse. Loads of young people, people from ALL OVER the country (I seemed to be surrounded by Welsh, wherever I was!), quite a lot of non-English voices, good mix of male/female, plenty of LGBT (judging by banners). Seemed to me to be a crowd of pleasant, ordinary people. Unfortunately you don't necessarily get what you want by being nice.
The Brexit cheer-leaders are a bunch of extremely unpleasant people. It would be good if some of the more sensible Brexiteers called them out, and started dealing with the tide of xenophobia that is rising in the UK. I doubt they will, though, as they all know that xenophobia wins them votes, and a pat on the back from the Daily Mail.
He probably thought it was an anti Liverpool hat, but got it wrong. Like everything else. That’s one hat he’d never wear, it’s another thing he hates. Try a Chelsea hat.

Not when Kay Burley is on though obviously. The vacuous, moronic "how is she still in a job" dickhead. Even my son said "who is this idiot?" when she was trying to make a news report like X factor the other day.
"Something important has happened, I'll tell you after the break"
It was a fight to get to the remote control and switch her off.
Sorry I disagree and I stood there thinking watching the speakers, someone really needs to help you with your PR. We lost !
I voted remain (again), but I try to take a bit more of nuanced view on things.
Richard Bacon, Stephen Fry and Sandy Toksvig are hardly going to change peoples minds. The one exception was LBC presenter James O'Brien.
I really like the LBC model. Not sure if everyone is aware of it - but they are given special dispensation by the broadcasting authorities to have biased presenters as long as there is overall balance.
Richard O'Brien was probably one of the only people speaking that truly understands those who voted remain because he speaks to them ALL DAY.
Taking a completely different approach to his "day job" he spoke about reaching out to those who have been lied to and not to blame them. There are your neighbours and family etc...
Otherwise is was simply speaking to the converted.
If Brexit has been "breversed" ( a long way off yet ), it will be down to those trying to pull us out. Not down to those who want us to remain.
They couldn't have f#### it up even better.
LBC is widely listened to nationwide these days with digital radio, I agree it makes compelling listening. Openly biased presenters from the left/neo-liberal wing of the UK, or the right, but at least they don’t furtively hide their bias behind a faux impartiality. Eddie Mair is the only truly balanced presenter, which I think honestly reflects the nice person he is.
