Parliament will vote on the deal, you will be able to see who votes against it and pushes an exit with no deal and judge accordingly, but currently the government as you know are pushing to accept the deal and not go for the no deal option.
If you want to stay free from a future backlash then dont tell the voters to vote again, its very simple.
The less said about pandering to old people the better, you are stepping into the pathetic gammon territory. All votes are equal, your age or whether you are a frequent voter or not should not have you singled out for different treatment or have you somehow brushed aside and ignored in the future.

False equivalence there, that voting against this deal is voting for No deal.
Everyones vote is equal, today, but you suggested that a party pressing for and getting a second referendum, would have no prospects in future elections. My point was that they need not worry so much about those that will be dead or not bother to vote in the future. I hate to break it to you, but Political Parties really do care more about the opinions of people who vote than those that don't, or can't.

I'm really not surprised, It was a brave move on their part to schedule a summit when they probably knew it was already a lame duck that would never get through parliament. .
