Can I mention a random 10, taken from leave-supporting friends and TV interviews...

"I thought it was about whether we want more immigrants."
"There's a lack of democratic accountability."
"Too many Russians are buying houses in London"
"The British are different."
"I hate all those freeloaders in Brussels."
"Cameron is boring. I"m voting for an entertainer politician."
"There's a real problem with muslims."
"Calais has got more fishing boats than Margate."
"People down the shops talking jibber-jabber."
"I want to throw out my rulers if I don't like them."

All are genuine. One or two are sensible. My favourite comment wasn't really a comment at all, and came from someone who probably voted Remain. "I think I voted Labour in that referendum thing but I can't remember."

On such shoulders does the future of our country now lie.

One of my best friends responses when asked was: 'Because we couldn't carry on as we were.'

Additionally when asked his solution to the Northern Ireland problem: 'I don't give a **** about Northern Ireland.'

Nobody will ever convince me that the reason most people voted leave was immigration, but they will never admit it of course, and, as above, more to do with Muslims than Poles.

Tell me, out of interest, what's the minimum amount of time that you think is needed to implement a 'no deal'

I can't still believe something I have never believed in the first place. Many in parliament seem very concerned it could happen hence all the scheming to wrest control of the negotations from the government removing it as an option. Perhaps they can invisage a scenario where it could happen I can think of a few.

The sense of panic will only increase as the implications become better understood and the timescales shorten. I really wouldn't like to predict what will happen to the major political parties and the government.

The only thing that is certain is no 'no deal' and further extensions to membership with no influence (however that is wrapped up and presented to the naive)
