Ironically, both of those things could be completely wrong. E.g. the Norway model - which has been advocated by some of the out camp:
1) Norway has a HIGHER per capita immigration than the UK
2) Norway has to play by the EU trade rules, but has NO vote on them, i.e. we would have even less control over our destiny.

That might not be the post-leave UK that you want... but some of the out camp do. Which one are we being asked to vote for??

Norway is a tiny nation with 5million people. It does as its told apparently.

It has no power so has to play by the EU rules. Lucky Norway .

This came from David Smith, the traditionally dry (in the Thatcher sense) Economics Editor of the regularly sceptic Sunday Times, on 3 April. Having made it clear that there are a number of reasons for FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in the UK - the English language and legal system among them - he wrote... "But it would also be folly to deny that EU membership is an important determinant inward investment. EY, the accountancy and professional services firm, provides the most comprehensive annual survey of FDI. It (last year's report)... found that 72 per cent of inward investors cited access to the single market as important to their decision". He then went on to quote PwC's and the Bank of England's recent conclusions, which predicted much the same situation. His article concludes "...EU membership has been good for inward investment, particularly foreign direct investment. If that ends, it seems inevitable inward investment will suffer."

Clearly, as David Smith says, not all FDI will be touched by a an exit. Investment in infrastructure would not be affected, except to the extent that Brexit will reduce growth prospects.

And if we Remain there will be even less opportunities because there will be so many people in this country chasing jobs, even more people will be pushed in to poverty. If we Remain and then go in to recession who is going to help you out?

Do you want more people coming to this country or less? If we Remain how do you propose we limit the number of people coming from the EU.

Leaving the EU makes our own politicians accountable for our borders, the rules on free movement will no longer apply to us. We can control who comes in, based on need.
