Although I do know one of our biggest clients served us with notice that due to the uncertainty, they were moving their financial operations to Germany. That is 2000 people about to lose their jobs from London and reading ( or relocate although they don't know if they can get residents rights.) ...which will also affect our bottom line too.

So real fake news for some people.....but there are millions of fruit picking jobs they can all retrain to do.

I think Vegster mentioned how schools were due to go on a four day week and how you guy's loved it, I just mentioned that my wife is a headteacher and she hadn't heard on person mention that in her whole time of teaching, just a couple of quoted extremist teachers somewhere, so just lies really.

It was your reply to Portslade Seagull where he challenged your position on previous predictions, including him saying ''18 months since the vote and your utopia of failure still not on the horizon'' so you replied saying nothings really happened, but it's clear that you have cited economic disaster multiple times within that 18 months, you just spinning our of control and getting caught out.

You do realise some 400 000+ more people found employment in 2017 than 2016 and you are citing an anecdotal 2000 jobs as if it is a relevant indicator above the 400 000+.that found employment.

You will no doubt sneer at those 100 000's finding work whilst overcooking the importance of your clients credentials, your sums just don't add up.

No doubt the 2,000 jobs that are going are well paid tech savvy ones, almost certainly not hospital cleaners. we keep shedding GOOD jobs, ie. well paid jobs that people work hard for and aspire to. Did you notice how the supermarkets are all shedding 0,000's of middle management jobs ?

I'm surprised your wife's school seems to have no financial problems ? is it a private school ? Are they aware of the WorthLess Campaign or is there some 1970's bubble around her school ?

Mrs. V's school is set to lose their ECAR and ECC specialist interventions for English and Mathematics due to budget cuts, My daughters husband is a caretaker at a major Worthing secondary school and they are going to shed senior teaching jobs in April. Just to re-iterate my much earlier post, schools are considering merging classes and 4 day weeks in an effort to cope with budget shortfalls. Hope this helps ?

State school and no four day weeks ever mentioned, there are some restructuring of roles which is money saving and put some added pressures on staffing levels, my wife perhaps is worth more money but I would say that, each classroom has 20-30 ipads for each pupil and seems well resourced, absenteeism from staff is becoming a problem usually stresses of the situation is cited, not so sure though as tends to be regular individuals that dont make it in.

So yes would be nice to have more money but unless you are in school you would think our schools have become third world environments,, they really havent.

I'm unsurprised by staff being signed off due to stress, turnover of NQT's is quite high too mostly because when they get a new post they find out how unsupported they are.

So only the 2000 matter then regardless of the amount of new jobs . Engineering lost thousands in the 80s I was one of them as jobs left these shores for cheaper alternatives. I was a toolmaker. Guess what I retrained and got a better paid job. Thousand of miners also retrained got other jobs. It happens

Toolmaker was a good job. I trained as a mechanical engineer. Really appreciate all the training I got from the old guys before i moved on. All the machines where in imperial, and that was in the 90s. Main jobs where blocking up, drilling, surface grinding. CNC was a dirty word.
