When are we resigning from NATO then?

Leaving the EU doesn't stop us fulfilling our obligations to NATO if another NATO member is attacked.

Who said anything about resigning from the NORTH ATLANTIC Treaty Organisation? We can't defend countries we're not allowed to fly over,or land at,as some ridiculous clowns on here have suggested. The post is designed to highlight the utter ridiculousness of their stupid fantasies.

Tragically this deal could have meant that I'd be able to buy a halfway decent block of English cheddar in a Japanese supermarket. All they have here is shitty bland mild cheddar from Australia and even that ain't cheap.

Brexit wankers. :tosser:

Oh dear, another idiot who doesn't realise that Great Britain will have a free trade deal with Japan long before the EU finish arguing about the terms of their so-called deal.Do wake up and smell the Red Leicester

The current government seem incapable of running a bath let alone negotiating a trade deal. So what makes you think this?

But in responding to a NATO situation we would be flying over NATO countries so you need to come up with a better example

So the referendum was over a year ago, Article 50 has been triggered yet the EU are still waiting on us to make up our minds, whilst the Tory front benches put out various differing opinions. Hard to argue that this is not a complete mess, though I'm sure some will.

I read today the British Ambassador to The EU, Sir Tim Barrow, has yet to move to Brussels since being appointed 6 months ago as well.

Dear Lord, don't you realise aircraft of any sort have to land and refuel, and be controlled by air traffic control, military or not.Do you think the RAF just swan about wherever they want?A no-fly zone excludes flying, like it or not.Not that I expect anything like that to happen,as I don't suppose the fantasists on here would be let anywhere near negotiations!

I suspected for some reason you'd have a considered, measured and balanced view on this.

I just would have thought that perhaps our chief diplomat would be residing in the country of our mission overseas, particularly as negotiations have variously been described as being of such importance and complexity, plus the fact he managed to slum it in Kiev and Moscow when he was ambassador there before, but I'm sure you're right.

You brought it up though?
It regards COMMERCIAL aircraft 'professor'. It has nothing to do with NATO. Keep laughing to yourself.

Yes, great thinking by Nige, he gets paid a generous salary and expenses and either fails to attend meetings or turns up and just opposes any proposals on principle.
If he had any real principles he should have resigned after the Brexit vote rather than continuing to take the money and topping up his EU pension plan.

Few ever discuss why he is still taking the money from EU whilst employed as a shock jock at LBC. The weaker GBP also means he's has a 15-20% pay rise thanks to Brexit.

Over a year down the line and nobody is any the wiser as to how this is going to happen. What an unnecessary, monumental, embarrassment.
