This thread is getting very silly. Idiotic lefties and remoaners using every bit the English language and therefore argumentative ability to their utmost. It is obvious, disingenuous and plainly pathetic. There is going to be a withdrawal from the EU. Does not matter your rhetoric your baloney your despised liberalism. It will happen. Therefore instead of damaging the UK with your negativity you should work with it. Just remember if you don't you will be hurting your children's future.
Given your advocacy of free movement of EU citizens into the UK and my preference for controls on foreign labour flows in to the UK, which policy has the best chance of restricting foreign nut jobs from entering the UK?
Whoever it is it will be put down under the usual mental problems.

You are right in saying that this thread is getting silly, you have just taken it to the very extremes of stupidity with that ridiculous post, it's that type of thinking from people who voted leave that has got us into this Brexit mess.
It's all Camerons fault he should never have called it, he under estimated the stupidity of a small majority of the public.
I think you will find that history will judge Cameron as the one who finished up looking stupid. It's all Camerons fault he should never have called it, he under estimated the stupidity of a small majority of the public.
I totally agree that the decimation of our manufacturing, for which both main parties take responsibility, has been disastrous for the sustainability of the economy and the many lives and communities that have been destroyed. I am sorry to hear about the experiences that you have had.
But how do we start to re-build up our manufacturing sector?. We cannot (and should not) compete on low labour costs so it comes down to specialist skills and investment in cutting edge technology. For this we need to invest heavily in skills and the research needed to apply emerging technologies. The skills agenda is a matter of domestic government investment decisions, and some like the emphasis on apprenticeships are good news. However, the latter will require research funding and partnerships. How will Brexit help with this? Currently the biggest single source of research funding for UK universities is EU Horizon 2020 and we are already being excluded from bids for projects in this area. Certainly we can seek partnerships with bodies in the US; but we were doing that anyway; EU member or not.
Brexit mess ?? i don't see a mess, the only mess mate is this constant dribble coming from the remoaners. You are right in saying that this thread is getting silly, you have just taken it to the very extremes of stupidity with that ridiculous post, it's that type of thinking from people who voted leave that has got us into this Brexit mess.

You may be disappointed. The pre-referendum view of Patrick Minford, professor of macroeconomics at Cardiff and a leading light in the pro-Brexit Economists for Britain group, was that the hard Brexit/WTO course now favoured by leading ministers (and him) would see 'the virtual elimination of British manufacturing but that this needn't worry us'. Our new future beckons.Brexit hopefully favours Manufacturing again because this country so badly needs it. Sad that all the manual skills this country held have gone....

Where we start?, well I find it amazing that even the card reader for accessing my bank is imported by China. Why didn't my bank seek a manufacturer in the UK for the plastic moulding and circuit boards. Yes I know one is the money aspect, but if it cost a quid more to manufacture it would provide jobs for people in this country, everyone is a winner in the end. Large Companies should seek the same parts in the UK, that they would usually import from china, if it doesn't exist get together with the government to make it exist.
You really are not going to like the new Britain post Brexit.
I think I would rather listen to the MD of JCB who knows his market much better.
Why, because we sold out all of our companies to foreign investors who might take some of those jobs away, thing is they will always want hubs in the UK and other countries around the world. Brexit opens up new opportunities.
Don't you feel that a much-reduced pound will encourage foreign takeovers? I agree that they will want satellites in England though.

Yes I know one is the money aspect, but if it cost a quid more to manufacture it would provide more valuable jobs for people in this country, everyone is a winner in the end. Large Companies should seek the same parts in the UK, that they would usually import from china, if it doesn't exist get together with the government to make it exist. On Brexit it is simply being able to control labour coming especially in any manufacturing jobs we have. Over the years lots of manufacturing companies have resorted to using agencies, that in my opinion has driven down wages due to the numbers. Minimum wage for a welder is a piss take.

In what sense?
