Just a teenie weenie question for EU lovers - how are the following projects progressing?

American Union
African Union
Asian Union
Australasian Union

I cannot find any information on these - are they not racing to catch up with us?

This is brilliant :lolol:

Anyway,I'm quite optimistic that you won't know how many of the 27 we sell any worthwhile amount to.3 possibly 4 maybe.

Please excuse my typo, cont.

There was def a couple of brexiters that admitted to not even owning a passport. I may be wrong about JC but he strikes me as being in possession of quite a closed mind who has got a rude shock coming to him when Brexit hits home.

As an aside, how does one get through life without a passport? Who would choose NOT to travel ANYWHERE? Very odd.

He's probably got a passport but I recall Soulman seemed quite pleased to tell us he had never visited France and didn't want to in future. I remember being surprised, especially as the place is only about ten miles drive plus a boat from Brighton.

So you are in favour of respecting an opinion from a war criminal who completely ruined this country and sold it down the river. Priceless.

I would not say that about Blair,i don't vote Labour or even remotely support them, but he is one of 4 Scots that have somehow managed to be PM in quick succession, all have contributed to our current plight......

Open minded? I was. Sincerely. But the subsequent mess has proved my doubts correct. I hope it does work. It needs to . Am I certain I was right to vote remain? Absolutely, and more so with each passing fiasco.

I have been deliberately avoiding this thread for a while, but just on a brief revisit, there do seem to be two groups on here:
  1. the Daily Mail/Daily Express/John Redwood/Michael Gove type..... And
    2. Those who are in touch with reality

I, like you, remain absolutely certain I was right to vote remain.

He certainly has got one and looking forward to a new one in a couple of years time minus the European Union lettering.

You forgot

3). Those that stereotype, in a derogatory way, those that disagree with you. Daily Mail, John Redwood, my @rse! Give me strength!

I have been deliberately avoiding this thread for a while, but just on a brief revisit, there do seem to be two groups on here:
  1. People who fully respect the democratic will of the majority and believe this country has a prosperous future outside the EU.
    2. Those who seem unwilling to accept the result or acknowledge the path to Brexit may not be as bad as they thought.

I, like you, remain absolutely certain I was right to vote remain.

Corrected for you.

After Brexit, do you expect UK based financial institutions to retain their ability to sell Financial services in the EU?

we sell financial services all over the world, and countries outside EU sell financial services here and in the EU. why wouldnt we be able to sell into the EU post Brexit? being outside of the single market is not an import ban.

A simple yes would have done, but thank you for your reply.

I voted remain but the country voted leave so we must follow this through that's democracy

We as a nation will make a success of it we have no choice but I think we must all agree it's going to be a very long bumpy ride

Since 2012 we have had access to the criminal records of EU citizens, if those persons were on the Schengen II database, which includes about 300,000 wanted persons, then it is our fault for not checking them against the list on arrival. We have more chance of stopping EU criminals at our border than those from anywhere else we have Visa free travel with.

I suspect those that are wanted by EU states are stopped, however those that have served their time are evidently not.

Having just come back from the states I am in no doubt what my chances of getting in would be had I spent conviction for (say) rape.

You and I both know that the EU's principles of freedom of movement is exactly what it says on the tin, and it's a major factor why our prison population includes 10,000 foreigners that the British taxpayer is keeping in our overcrowded prison system.

http://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/SN04334/SN04334.pdf

Gaining control of our borders should mean exactly that, and those who try and enter with serious convictions should be persona non gratia.

If it works for the states it can work here, and what's best about the US model is it not a burden on their taxpayers.......double bubble.
