Possibly. Irrespective of this they're currently not a party I can align myself with. And if I don't like something, or I don't feel welcome, I tend to just move on.

Sounds a bit like my dad. Was the union shop steward at the Argus for years and always voted Labour. Since that car crash called Corbyn took over he won't vote for them. He won't vote for anybody else though. Still red at heart

On the Border

Just two segments from the article

He said open borders and free movement for skilled migrants were "absolutely" important to the success of the technology sector in the UK.

Sources at the technology company also said if barriers were thrown up to skilled immigration following the vote to leave the European Union, some of Google's investment could be at risk.

So if a hard Brexit we're off. But I see yet again some leavers are celebrating the headline rather than the content.

It was ALWAYS going to be close.Always. 48/52 is a majority just not the one you was after. Other way around would've been clear enough for you wouldn't it?

1). It's clearly a majority. I'm not stupid.
2) I said mandate. 52/48 is not a clear and legitimate mandate in my view. If you think it is then fine. But, you must understand my reason why so let's just agree to disagree and end it here as this has been done to death.

Skilled immigration is a must to any deal

"Labour will not block hard Brexit – but will rely on 'moral pressure"

The country imo doesn't have a mandate for hard Brexit. Think this is it for me and the Labour Party if they're not going to fight a hard Brexit.

Think Labour are terrified of being seen as going against the wishes of the people. Of course they don't have to fight a yes or no Brexit, but the least they can still do a job to hold the government to account. Lets face it they are in chaos

Hard Brexit doesn't mean barriers to skilled immigration. There are very few countries that have such barriers. A company simply applies for a work permit. I have personally done it three times in foreign countries that are not in the EU and with which the U.K. has no immigration arrangement.
You are confusing the concept of no unlimited immigration with one of no immigration.

FFS. Google it then. Far greater minds than me and you have been debating legitimacy of mandate for decades if not centuries.

I didn't see hard or soft Brexit on the ballot paper, just remain or leave. Where have these terms come from and just what do they mean, who named them as such, can someone explain.
