Not necessarily. A lot can change in that time. We'll have a new government. We will have all kinds of new negotiations, policies and deals in place, which nobody has even thought of yet.
I think a lot of the problem people have is the short-term thinking. Yes, we will see an economic blip as we transition... we already are seeing one and it hasn't even happened yet... but long-term, as we build on the foundations of being a truly independent country without the shackles of EU policy making and trade restrictions, there is absolutely no reason why we can't establish the country as a progressive global economic hub.
Are you proposing the "Singapore of the West" model for the UK?
