Brexit has made England team better!

I'm sorry, but that's just plain stupid.

You could apply the same formula to almost any UK work place and you would be down to a tiny fraction.

What point is it trying to demonstrate here? All of our players are English - and yes, most of the British population has at least on parents or grandparent born overseas?

Sshh whisper it quietly, but our highest scorer was born in Jamaica.

Regarding fan travel Just had a look on the UK and Irish Govt sites.

Entry to Italy from the UK (Non EU)

From 21 June to 30 July, on arrival in Italy travellers who have been in the UK in the previous 14 days must self-isolate for 5 days, at the end of which they must take a rapid antigenic or molecular swab test for COVID-19 and test negative for release.

People travelling to Italy from Ireland: (EU)

are not required to self-isolate upon arrival
must fill out an EU Digital Passenger Locator Form which can be found here. If they are unable to fill out this form online, a Self-Declaration must be printed and completed. This Self-Declaration can be found here.
must prove that they have undergone a molecular or antigen test within 48 hours prior to their arrival in Italy, carried out by means of a swab, with a negative result.

So maybe Brexit has made a difference?

England only ever won the world cup under a Labour government.

Next ...

Edit, men's senior football world cup.

Source?

Would be interesting to see statistics on this. 1 in 3 children born in the UK have at least one foreign born parent. Assuming this trend has been going on for multiple generations, then a majority of people in the UK have at least one foreign born grandparent. Keep going through the generations and increasingly we are all children of immigrants.

that may be the case last year, its been a shifting tide for 50 years, a tide that's turned. its a very complex issue. certainly marriage for passports has been a thing in recent years. .and different countries have different criteria.

It will be interesting to see what the long term effect will be given that British clubs won’t be able to sign so many young Europeans. This will mean more British kids will be kept in academies for longer which could

A) make England stronger because more late bloomers will stay in the system
B) make England weaker because the standard in age groups will drop which means we won’t develop so many exceptional players.

Take your pick which suits your bias and argue away!

Flying to Ireland, to fly on to Rome would be entirely pointless.

This parts still applies, regardless of what route you take, or what country you arrive from:

on arrival in Italy travellers who have been in the UK in the previous 14 days must self-isolate

So, arriving via Dublin is pointless, unless they plan to lie about where they've been previously - which make no sense, because if they are going to flout whatever rules are in place, they could just fly direct from London, and go ahead and break the rules
