It is a handy refreshment stop before the walk up Southover Street, I will admit.
So the Bugle is not on the list of shite pubs, but the Brewery Tap stays on said list.

I will take your Franklin and raise you a Seafield.
Its quite nice in there now since the refit ..
I went in there once to meet Yorkie (she stood me up). It struck me as the sort of place where the music jars to a halt and the pool balls stop rolling when a stranger steps in, and the barmaid has webbed feet.

good call. I would have said the Racehill at the bottom of Elm Grove/ Lewes Road but that's closed now.
How about the MArtha Gunn, Jury's Out or my own particular top trump: THE SPREAD EAGLE.
Go on - your move, sir.
no no no no no no no. There are old boys who queue at 7.50 for when it opens at 8. That's just wrong.

You had better not mention that Pub on the river near Brentford. that was a real pub an all. I re-acquainted myself with Mr canning there and I met Tubbs, BoF and Lokki!!
A Railway Bell will always out score The Spread Eagle in shite pubs.
yeah but I like the Railway Bell because of its proximity to the uber-wanky Open House. The juxtaposition of drinking in both places of an evening appeals to me.

I am amazed that the Dyke Road Tavern has not been mentioned...
Wrong pub...
The Railway (Hotel) is the pub across from Open House. Railway Bell by Brighton Station.
Except we marched past about 7 other Fullers pubs to go to the Fullers pub on the river.
good call Chappers and UB.
Can I add the Prodigal purely for being the effing pits. And Alley Cats too.
AliCats is rubbish now but back in the day it used to be alright. Sitting down there with a pint watching a film was great.
Who's gonna drop a massive bomb on the King & Queen?
