This was discussed a little while back and there has been some engagement with the club on whether there should be a change made.I'm in exactly the same situation. I'm also annoyed that despite going away to Wolves, Sheffield twice, Nottingham forrest, Chelsea in the leauge cup, Luton and all of the London games so far this year I am in the same bracket as a season ticket holder who's gone to about 2 away matches this season.
Currently, for all away games, the following tiers are used:
Tier 1 – the allocation (normally around 3k)
Tier 2 – 25% of STHs & 1901 (around 6k)
Tier 3 – 50% of STHs &1901 (around 12k)
Tier 4 – all STHs & 1901 (around 24k)
A suggestion was to revert to the below for games with an allocation of below 2,000:
Tier 1 – the allocation (using an example of 1k allocation – 1k)
Tier 2 – double the allocation (around 2k)
Tier 2 – 25% of STHs & 1901 (around 6k)
Tier 3 – 50% of STHs &1901 (around 12k)
Tier 4 – all STHs & 1901 (around 24k)
I can see pros and cons of both approaches. The latter would give a reward, in the form of an increased chance of a ticket, to those who just miss out on Tier 1. The tiering as it stands means a larger group of people have an opportunity to get a ticket for the hard-to-get games.
