Fully recommend the Bevy pub on Hillside. Short journey on 49 to stadium or can park at Mithras and walk up there.

Dont like any of those nor Peckish cafe near the station. I think the best in HH is Burgies but I want to catch the bus at 9.11 (270) so it is best in Brighton somewhere.

The one suggested by Pasty sounds fair. Is that the one up Elm Grove on the left going up from Lewes Rd?
