Bwian, he was far from shite during the last 3 months of the 2002/03 season. He was head and shoulders above anyone else at home and wasn't too bad away either - he had a great game against Reading and won it with his quick thinking. He wasn't as sharp against Grimsby, but he still scored the pen.

I think he's suffering from a total lack of confidence at the moment. Chances that he would have converted without a second thought are being missed. He needs someone to build him up and put their confidence in him (in much the same way that Micky Adams did) and tell him that he's their number one striker for as long as he's fit.

I can't see him coming back to us, but I can't see it working at Stoke either. Coppell is probably his best bet as at least he knows how to deal with him.

Why wait until then? He could just loan him out with the proviso that he can't play against them. This would also work to upset the balance of the team and give Reading a bigger chance.

The whole business of teams loaning players out within the same division with pre-conditions is an invitation to bigger clubs to sway the balance even more in their favour. It should be forbidden by the rules.

Actually what RoyalAli said is the truth as things currently stand. No need to start taking pops at him as after all he helped us with the FFF day up at Smellworst less you forget.

I think the only reason Bobby Zamora gets talked about as an ex-Albion player is because he has not succeeded at the clubs he has moved to. Do people really think of Gary Stevens or Mark Lawrenson as ex-Albion players? No. Unfortunately, we delude ourselves if we think they do. As for whether it is a good move for him, it's difficult to say. If he went to Reading, as soon as Kitson is fit, he'd be on the bench. I suppose at Stoke he could link up with Akinbiyi. Would I welcome him back? I don't know. Would he really want to come back? We won't be able to offer him the wages Stoke or Reading can for several years.

I still have faith in Zamora being a fantastic player having seen the magic he weaved when with BHA. I'd love to see him at Reading, and with a strikeforce of Zamora, Forster, Kitson, Owusu, Goater, etc, we really should be doing well...

Having said that, if Norwich are in for him then I'd imagine he'd like to go there unless he really desperately wants to work with Coppell or Pulis. Can't see at the moment what he'd actually add to Norwich's chances of staying up, given his lack of proven Premiership experience...

I think he's trying to get away from teams whose fans boo their own players :p
