It's not exactly been a brilliant career for him since leaving us. I bet he's made a few quid whilst being booed by his "own" fans at West Ham though. Best of luck to the legend.

Reading may however match the offer, according to Stoke comments

Zamora seems to be going backwards in his career path since leaving the Albion, Stoke aren't much better than us.

I assume us is an acronym for utter shite. Did you see them against us?

Stoke were quoted £850,000 for Zamora last month but the fee may now be lower.

Do we still have a sell on clause, or was that Brizzul Rovers?

Can't help thinking Reading would be a better option for him, given the choice.

They seem in need of a striker for starters, I think Coppell would treat him pretty well, they're a bit more local than the Potteries and there's a very slight chance of Premiership football at the end of the season.

Plus they're a considerably smaller club than West Ham so he'd probably feel more at home, rather than surrounded by overpaid primadonnas as he is at the moment.

And he always did have a good scoring record at the Madejski Stadium :lolol:

Stoke aren't much of an attacking side, can't see that working out at all.

well they are much better in the fact that <yawn> they have their oen stadium, money to buy players, stable future etc etc etc....we have none of that so in theory Yeovil Town are in a much better position than us...and you KNOW thats true :D

anyway yeah, Zamora going to Stoke, I dont mind it...he's a past legend that may one day wear the blue & white stripes but until that day he is just another Peter Ward to me. Good Luck and all that but my love affair for him has gone, as will me affliction with Cullip when I wave him goodbye at Sheff Utd. People, you NEED to get over BZ....he left AGES ago :jester:

Just checked CeeFax and Craptalk and neither mention this rumour. As with most BZ would be far better off at Reading. I can't see Stoke forking out much of a fee as thanks to the lovely stadium tey're pretty cash strapped right now.

Hate to say it but BZ isn't worth half the £850,000 mentioned.

all over the place
he'd definatey be better of at reading for his own career - they play more to his strengths rather than stokes 6 ft tall lump it game.

Doesn't mean i'd want him to go there tho.

???

Stoke Rivals

I did hear the story from a reliable source working near Stoke, but agree that the local radio do seem more interested in sheep rustling than BZ having actually heard the latest news (although that was a loop of an earlier sport report).

There does seem to be something going on between the two clubs based on the Stoke message board though.
