Not quite yet - only a recommendation to suspend so far. Not sure who has to approve it - probably Blatter!

"This is provisional for 90 days but he is not actually suspended."
I'm glad they've made that clear, then ...
It's amazing that when the people with the money start talking, things actually happen......
Fair enough. The only suitable successors to Blatter will have to be people who have never in any way been associated with FIFA - the whole thing is so sceptic, that anyone in it at the moment is suspect.Platinis chances of succeeding Sepp must be dwindling, if only by association.

The ethics committee had been meeting in Zurich since Monday and have yet to make a decision on Platini, 60. It is also examining a payment of two million Swiss francs (£1.35m) that Platini received in 2011 for working for Blatter. The Frenchman has provided information to the criminal investigation but said he has done so as a witness.
Swiss prosecutors said he is being treated as "in between a witness and an accused person" as they investigate corruption at world football's governing body.
He will probably set up some sort of 'appeals committee' , headed by himself of course, to look into any decisions taken by the ethics committee.
