Did no-one read the links "The motive for the attack is very fuzzy ... but no words of religious connotation were spoken."?

Of course, further details may emerge later but people are jumping the gun a bit

But who says it's because they were scantily dressed. The examining magistrate, who's at the scene and has, presumably, questioned witnesses says that it's not clear what the motive for the attack is but you, hundreds of miles away, assume that it's because the victims were scantily dressed.

As I said, further details may emerge later but no-one at the moment knows what the motives were

Has already been mentioned on BBC news reports, so maybe things are emerging.............again.

Don't we have enough of our own stabbings, shootings etc before getting involved with France's nutters?

That's before even mentioning Peter

Peter Scotter 'ripped veil from Muslim woman in Sunderland'

Standby for plenty of reports in the next few days that race hate attacks are on the rise because someone frowned at a muslim woman in a burka or something equally spiteful.

We're so concerned with people getting shot, stabbed etc in France but miss three people shot dead in Spalding, at a swimming pool.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, there MAY be a reasonable chance that killings were the result of a domestic dispute. Until confirmed it is wise to not make assumptions.

With the situation regarding RANDOM stabbings, axing etc etc, it is perfectly understandable that these situations COULD affect any of us, if we are in the wrong place at the wrong time. These 'stories' will naturally attract early views and opinions.

Really? Surely the 'voice of sense' would be to simply not make assumptions in either case?

This is a football forum of many views....not a court.

.

You wouldn't know, given the number of people setting themselves up as judges.

Seriously - from the sketchy facts reported and the balance of probability, you are almost certainly correct that the Lincolnshire shootings were domestic, and also that the latest nutter in France was motivated by ideas based on his religious beliefs. Not arguing the likelihood of either for a moment, just don't understand the seemingly desperate urge to rush to pass judgment before any facts emerge?

If the attacks were because of the attire, which is the attire worn in a civilised Western European country, then these people that do it or support it are sick.

Agreed. Also really ODD - its reported that the attacker was there on holiday with his family. You wouldn't expect religious fundamentalists to go 'on holiday' with their families in tow, nor to choose holiday destinations where they are bound to be offended by the norms. Very strange.
