Never mind Katherine Jenkins at the Wales rugby matches, this lady at Falmer is a must. That is unless Imogen Thomas is free!!!!!

Apparently she is now available for gigs!

The most curious thing..
But the reason WHY the Lancs Hussars sing SBTS goes back to 1801, when the then 14th Light Dragoons were in Kent and their band were too drunk to go on parade. To help them out, the 35th (Royal Sussex) Regiment band took their place and ever since, their regimental march was played by 14th/20th Kings Hussars. After its publication in 1907, SBTS became the preferred march.

The Hussars' words relate to events from their regiment's history. Their last line: "You can tell them all that we know f*** all, Of Sussex by the Sea." suggests they probably didn't know that our anthem's composer was himself a Lancashire lad.

But don't they sing it incredibly well? If only our own fans could match that.
Details can be found here... http://www.royalsussex.org.uk/RSLHG_The_Regimental_Marches.htm

and this is by far the best version available on the internet (fixtures several times over) http://www.royalsussex.org.uk/RSLHG_Music/Sussex by the Sea.mp3

Whatever the decision by the club, which i am sure will be a good one i cannot wait to hear the first ever Sussex by the sea bellowing out at the Amex. It is going to be truly epic in my eyes

Yes but we had a Brass Band for the first game at Withdean againsty Forest, and you couldn't hear them very well, it kind of got lost from the centre circle to the stands. Brass Bands , Christs Hosptial Coldstream Guards, are all very well, but the first GOSBTHS will be massive. To be honest I'd rather have it blasting out the the speakers so it makes your ears bleed. Can the band sound br fed into the speaker system?

This. You really couldn't hear it at the time, and great idea though it was, it was a damp squib. This would only work with proper microphones, through the PA.
