I'll be quite relieved if we now don't sign O'Riley. All those years of posters writing 'Houghton' instead of 'Hughton' were bad enough, but I don't know how much more I could take of the O'Riley/O'Reilly nonsense we've already experienced.

That's nothing. When I was 14 I had a lot of most favourite Albion players:

I gave up and decided on Steve Penney. It was easier.

A counter argument to that would be that RDZ didn't find anything "extra" in him he just played him in his "proper" position. And the difference in performance showed why he should never have been played at wing back.

I think there was a debate about March's effectiveness as a wing back under Potter. I can remember conversations on here about whether he could tackle, whether he gave away too many free kicks. For me the debate is always, do you want someone who can "do a job" at wing back or someone who's a specialist.

Imho the purple patch of goals March went into was a result of Mitoma playing on the left side. ANYONE playing on our right is going to get oceans of space. Both March and Adingra was sort of riding the wave - whenever Mitoma was missing, we haven't seen them produce much.

Minteh will have equal help but I also think he has that edge in quality that March and Adingra didn't. He'll surf on his own wave, and hopefully the improved quality balance on the wings will also allow Mitoma to be scoring more frequently.

Solly is a fine player and a very good LWB/RWB. At 30, he is unlikely to keep the explosiveness needed for a modern PL winger and I'm guessing that wing back roles are going to be his main position for the remainder of his Brighton career.

Hes so adaptable. IF he can stay fit, he'll be incredibly useful and can play almost anywhere

I think Joao Pedro is more likely to be leading the line, again rotating with Pedro.

I'll say again, that intensity of pressing is going to be exhausting, and I can see us using 4 subs on the hour in most games

If Gruda is coming in, then it's Gruda, Enciso, Sarmiento, Ayari and eventually Gomez fighting for the more attacking of the midfield roles.

Surely means Sarmiento and/or Ayari due for another loan?
