We should have signed him when we had the chance.

Did we have the chance then?

I would certainly say so. Fell out of favour last season. Went back to Leeds and sat on the bench for the majoirty of the rest of it. Albeit he wanted to get back into the first team with Leeds, but who is to say that an offer from us would have seen him move away?

Still, best of luck to him, score a few decent goals so far in Leeds campaign.

he never wanted to stay at brighton so while you might have been willing his intention was always to come back and leeds and get back in our team. he was not too complimentary about the training set up at brighton on lutv either which i think is unfair really given what has gone on for you guys and us and the standard of training facilities at the majority of l1 clubs.

doubt the usa thing will come to anything either - he is under the impression he is eligible but the powers that be in america are not because of the passport stuff. but good luck to him, he has been a revelation since he came back from his loan with you guys. don't know what you did to him but it worked.

In fairness though, he can say that, but if things did not work out at Leeds, he perhaps would of had to look at alternatives to playing regular first team football. I know a few other clubs were interested in him, it would seem that playing regular 1st team football down here has spurred him on.

Bradley and the rest of the Leeds squad may find themselves training with rubbish facilities in the not to distant future after Bates wouldn't put his hand in his pocket and buy back the training ground outright before the deadline. Bates had the money, but tried to get Leeds City council to pay for it.

Leeds fans should be going mental over this issue.
They've raked in quite a lot of money recently what with Delph going to Villa and compensation from the likes of Everton and Chelsea for youth players.

your first paragraph is incredibly naive. it is unfortunate that the majority of leeds fans and those outside the club ever believed that little tale.

how do you know bates had the money, btw? there are a lot of people who'd be most interested in those facts!

Why wouldn't he have the money! Supposedly the club makes a profit now, so with money from player sales, he should have it.
