Good player, potential to be a very good player. Goalscoring attacking midfielder, 22 years old, relatively 'cheap' in today's crazy market and would imagine a modest wage, not necessarily expecting to play every week... Seems like a good idea to me.

I just don't think 'that' special player for the no.10 / forward role that we are 100% sure will be an excellent addition is out there with our budget (and I include Pritchard in that - and look at how woeful Calleri has looked for West Ham so far).

Agree with this. Not the marquee signing many are hoping for...BUT his wages will be realistic and will want to prove himself. Rather him than a drop-down former PL player who is looking for an easy life in the Championship.....on mega wages.

On the subject of Talksport, kind words from Phil Brown just now. Said we're on the up, mentioning our journey from the Goldstone via Gillingham and the Withdean to the Amex. Knows his stuff. He's a great singer. When we eventually go up we should invite him to the Amex to belt out a few of his favourites post-match:bowdown:

Brighton also after Bradley Dack and Rico Henry. Dack 2m. Henry snag is fitness question. Bristol City still keen.

Has Henry been mentioned previously?

I said we should try and sign him before the start of the season. Would be a bloody excellent signing.

Only a kid still but talented enough to push Bong for the starting LB slot IMO.

not that I'm aware of(but that doesn't mean much). I'd never heard of him so googled him. Apparently he scored his first ever goal against us last year and was in the League one team of the season.

Based on Goldson being in the league two team of they year and how well he's turned out I'm all for getting this kid in.

I see Sheffield Wednesday think the are getting Jordan Rhodes on loan! How many strikers do they want on MASSIVE wages?

Hooper was great last season. They've replaced him with Fletcher and want to replace HIM with Rhodes. After their start to the season, I imagine their dressing room morale is not the greatest and Rhodes won't change that. Still time for Forestieri to jump ship.

Think its a very good sign when someone in team of the year , player of the season for their clubs and at a young age.(Dack and Henry to an extent)

Good chance will step up IMO.

Murphy did

As a Gillingham fan I have read this thread with interest.

Dack is an excellent player, the best prospect to come through our ranks since Matt Jarvis 10 years ago. Not only is he a creative and goalscoring midfielder, he is also incredibly hard working, puts a real shift in, tracks back, and can tackle. He really is the all action midfielder. He might look like one but he is the antithesis of a fancy dan or luxury player. Never gives less than 100% every game and has a terrific attitude. The fact that he has been expected to depart for well over a year now and he hasn't once mentioned it or asked to leave speaks volumes to the lad's character as well. Our team is built around him and it's no coincidence that when we lost him to injury our season of promise fell apart last year.

To the doubters, there is no doubt in my mind that he can step up to the championship and play more than comfortably at that level. We are all still very surprised that he is still with us as he was expected to follow Egan out the door at the beginning of the window. I feel the fee is a sticking point, we rejected 2.5 million from Bristol City in January and I think Scally wants nearer 3 million.
