True but look at Bellamy. Turned into a fantastic player when he got his head sorted.

When parallels are drawn with Craig Bellamy you know you should steer well clear. My mind's made up now, I think we could do better.

Bellamy is quality , always has been.

Refused to shake Terrys hand and dropped a division rather than play for cash.

Does ridiculous amount for charity and didnt he offer out shearer ?

Like him

Not for me thanks .. too critical a position to "experiment". Could disrupt the dressing room too!

Quality player, box to box. No more of a gamble than taking on Vicente.

Yes please.

Vicente was a former Spanish player of the year. Ireland has, at best, had one good top flight season. Slight difference.

Ah didnt know you didn't feel the Bellamy love. Cracking player from 26 onwards, complete gobshite before. Very intelligent man too. His book is apparently great .... go on, dare you.

Ireland is a complete waste of space. Big move to villa, did nothing just looking to prolong his wage check.
A complete sponge.

Would be a great signing in my opinion. Sort his head and attitude out he could easily be one of the Championships best players. I agree with the previous comments regarding it making financial sense and thinking he's 'better' than us.

If the cars featured in this thread ARE his, he'll fit right in down here

Would he be an adequate replacement for Spanish Dave?

Disappointed - I'm all for experienced Premiership players but he lost his way big time and it looks to me that he like the lifestyle rather than more than the workrate.

Some people can be changed but it never seems to last long before the demons get control again.

I know a Man City fan who said pretty much exactly this about Wayne Bridge when I told him that we'd signed him on a season long loan. Spendaholic Billy Big Bollocks with no interest in football were his exact words
