I never thought this day would come but im looking at an I phone i have had galaxy but i have had enough with poor battery life on it, i know the 4s had a very bad problem with battery but i believe that has been sorted.

My question is i have paid for apps on Android that are avalible on i phone do i have to pay for them again? as things like tapatalk.

Should i also wait to see if the iphone 5 does come out like rumours have said?

You'll have to buy the apps again, the same is true if you were switching the other way around. And yeah, you could wait for the iPhone 5, but they're on a pretty predictable upgrade cycle and you'll find yourself always waiting for the next one if you go that route. Just get a 4S and it'll be an excellent phone for at least a couple of years.

Is the galaxy battery really bad? I am thinking of buying myself one but I don't want to if the battery levels are really poor

Personally I'd suggest buying an iPhone 4 (not S) and wait 6-9 months for the heavily upgraded iPhone 5. The 'upgrade' from the 4 to the 'S' is a big con to get a ton of cash from the Mac lovers in the build up for the release of the 5. Buy one from ebay. I upgraded from my 3gs to a 4 yesterday and will wait for the 5 to upgrade.
Edit: The 4S standby battery life is 33% worse than the 4 due to it's dual core processor.

Not noticed a problem with my 4s.....ye a 5 will com out but the iPhone seems to hold its value reasonably well...I bought mine direct from apple being on a low cost sim only plan with a nice data allowance

My galaxy life is insane i charge it all night by 2pm battery is dead.

Dont do it!!! I have an Android and my wife the iphone and I cant stand hers. iPhones really are all hype imo. You will regret it. It is easy to fix battery problems with an Android phone. Your problem is probably lots of apps always on in the background. Get an app called advanced task killer which will help ALOT. As well as another free app called juice defender which will start to shut down non important functions as the battery life reduces. With these you will notice a BIG difference.

Never had 4s but battery on 3GS & 4 was shocking so hope for you 4s is much better. I did like the iPhone but as a heavy user of email & calls found it poor so went back to blackberry and happy again now.

I like the way you rubbish the iPhone then list apps you need to fix its rival.

PS I do not know one single person who regrets buying an iPhone. It's the opposite in fact.

Samsung have a second, larger battery from the 1600, which is now 2000, and yes it does last longer....but we need either a full day of use from a battery, or 2 days of use because nobody wants to get the bleep at mid-day if they have no spare or charger handy.
The ARE the 3500mhz batteries out there, made in Asia and bootleg. I have one and it gives me 2 days of normal use - they are cheap, and often come with a wall charger for stoking whichever battery isn't installed in your Galaxy.
HOWEVER, expanding batteries do NOT fit in the regular back of the phone case, so they have to provide different backs to suit. My Galaxy therefore is twice as thick, about 40% heavier, and I cannot use the rubber outer case accessory when fitted.

A spare 1600 battery takes up so little space that it's probably the best option to just carry one - and certainly not enough hassle to warrant going to an iPhone

After using both I dont think there is really anything an iphone does better than a galaxy or good htc. There is a simple app to extend battery life, hardly a major fix, and i know a few iphone users who also have battery probs. I also find safari terrible and it doesnt work with plenty of websites properly.

I have used both and am making a comparison from experience. Can you say the same?
