I had some pop ups recently that appeared on the bottom right of my laptop. So I downloaded the trial version of Malwarebytes, found I had over 30 dodgy bits of adware/malware, quarantined them, deleted the antimalware programme, and have been ticketty boo ever since.

I picked up all the shite from a site that converts youtube to mp3. Mea culpa.

You lot I would guess have been somewhere iffy, and you can guess the rest.

I had the same on our 'family' PC at home, which the kids use - we got a pop up ad that kept taking control of the mouse, so I couldn't do anything. Free trial of malwarebytes found 65 on it. The kids visit a lot of gaming sites.

One thing I have noticed recently (for 3 or 4 days) is that NSC pages can take ages to load (10-15 seconds). This is the same on my lptop and my phone. Other web pages load fine. This comes and goes. Weird.

NSC is an absolute mess of a site, some of which is due to having too many ads. [MENTION=6886]Bozza[/MENTION] says he's going to update the template, so hopefully that'll improve things.
